He is French. The Gallic shrug takes time to bed in properly.

He gets some stick on here but for me, we always look a better side with Ngog in it. Can't be helped though and I'm looking forward to seeing if and how Sordell and Craig Davies can play together.

He's a big loss. Lots moan about him, but he's scored more goals than any of our other strikers. I bet he's had less minutes on the pitch than one of them at least.

Sure he's never a regular goalscorer but he's really good at the hold up and link play.

Reason he's been a constant in the side since the run started is because he's the best we've got.

Please don't let your dislike of the man let you forget how much clogging he took for Bolton for almost ten years without ever crying about it.

I have absolutely no dislike for him whatsoever. Quite the opposite.

I do have a problem when people think the Kevin Davies we have now is the same as the one circa 2008 because he's not.

I also think it's a bit harsh when someone has a dislocated shoulder that probably needs an operation to infer that he's not "tough enough". He went to hospital with oxygen being administered. Despite popular myth Kevin Davies would not be playing on in similar circumstances.

You don't always get much support on here, but that's spot on.

I don't think anyone is serious when they say he should play on, and I think the comment about Davies was tongue in cheek.

Anyhow, Eaves recalled and Davies left out entirely. I wonder why that is? Perhaps the rumours of him throwing a strop are true. Certainly the way his wife has been acting on social media would indicate that to be the case.

Mind it can't be true because he's a club legend who would never ever do anything to upset the applecart at a critical time....nope, you won't hear him whinging on talksport or the like, no way.....oh.......

No, Beefheart was jesting clearly. Tango called Davies injury proof because he remembers him playing with dislocated fingers but he also indicate he was jesting with a smile. Lighten up, BWFCi - the funeral is nearly over.

I can confirm I was joking, I'm a big fan of Ngog and do realise that it can take some time to recover from a dislocated shoulder. I apologise for any offence I may have caused by suggesting otherwise, and must stress my comments were in no way anti-French.

Dougie's fault. He jinxed it by recalling Eaves. If he hadn't I'm quite satisfied the injury wouldn't have happened
