'It was all pretty straight forward' the 42 year old Scot didn't go running to the papers bleating 'Tony was working at Ingersoll Rand and there were a lot redundancies taking place. It would have been nice if after almost three years of undying service the company had found a role for Tony but that's just the way things were.'
The couple met at a party in London and after two years of commuting between Little Hulton and the South Lanarkshire town Tony decided to move north. 'It was pretty simple really, as an adult I was able to cope with the emotions of leaving my family for a new life. I didn't cry or anything - it's only three hours away and I speak to my mum, dad and other family members all the team. it's no big deal' he concluded.
Maria didn't go on to explain that she'd never seen Tony cry at anything. 'He didn't even cry when the wean's were born' she didn't say 'He's heartless'. However Tony did respond that he did cry with laughter the first time he saw that Alan Partridge where he puts his foot through that spike.
'Read the Daily Express, it's a good paper' the 42 year old father of two quipped.
Very funny

It reads like the wag of a spoilt premiership footballer...the likes of which we often championed super kev against for his approach to the game. Shame

And Shankly before it all went pear shaped for him. Escorted off the premises and told not to come back any more. Shankly, a so-called legend at Liverpool was bitter about it for the rest of his life. That is never mentioned when Scouse fans talk about the man.bobo the clown wrote:(which is, apparently, what really did happen with Houllier at L'pool.)Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:It's all a bit David Brent. Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Dave Jones wants him at Sheff Wednesday, according to my sources. So that should really give her something to moan about.

Been reported for about a week but still nothing official. I wonder if he has decided to find a club closer to Bolton?CrazyHorse wrote:Dave Jones wants him at Sheff Wednesday, according to my sources. So that should really give her something to moan about.

Re: Emma's at it again ...
I've been reading John Aizlewood's excellently-written (if awfully-covered) Playing at Home, a 92-grounds-in-a-season travelogue which is just the right amount of bitter, but is also an interesting snapshot as it's from 1997/98, when lots of new grounds were opening as the Premier League era really got into its swing. Anyway, I mention it here as it's the season after Chesterfield had reached the FA Cup semis but failed to go up and therefore sold their two prize assets: Kevin Davies and Sean Dyche. I'd forgotten that link - they played 130 or so games together, so KD must have been casting his eyes northwards and raising his eyebrows suggestively, perhaps hoping he might also get involved in the coaching, eh Seany? - except that the Clarets are cutting their wage bill, and Dyche is expecting a tough season...ChrisC wrote:Been reported for about a week but still nothing official. Re: Emma's at it again ...
Sheffield's hardy the moon is it?
Always made me laugh when Barry Ferguson complained that he wasn't good enough to play for Blackb- Sorry, what I meant to say was he found the terrible homesickness too much to handle and he had to return to Glasgow.
Thankfully he overcame that and even moved as far as Birmingham at one point, obviously now he's at Blackpool where the hoardes of pished up Weegies make him feel like he's on Sauchiehall St.
Hopefully, one day Emma will get used to KD coming in an hour or so later than usual a couple of times a week.
It might involve a long heart-to-heart with the kids as to why daddy's not home till four, but that's part of being a parent.
Here's one for you. My brother's mate did the drawings for some work the D's were having done at Chez Davies. I don't know whether he got it eventually but the last I knew he was being ignored for his bill of £500.00
I'm 100pc sure that it was all a genuine oversight and there must have been a mix-up between their 'people' and his 'people' but I know he wasn't happy. I suppose when you're on £25k a week £500 isn't worth worrying about.
I'll speak to our kid tonight and find out if they ever coughed up.

Well, her Twitter account seems the best .... and by far the most public ... way of reminding her. It's important he chases it though ... what with them maybe moving, the hubby being out of work and three kiddies to feed.
