Be nice BP!Burnden Paddock wrote:It's Dan. Ignore him.

Short answer being I suspect we won't buy any of the players we are linked to and Wenger will sign someone noones ever heard of for about £8million and claim that the players that have come back from injury are like 'new signings' and our one bigger buy will turn out to be a Gervinho/Chamakh type flop.

Re: Diving Arsenal Players - The Least Shocking Admission Ev
I think Arsene did say, albeit in December, that he would surprise everyone by signing Mesi in January, but he might claim he was joking, though comedy and Arsene would seem strange bed fellows. Strangely enough I was in the Arsenal Tavern yesterday and there was a distinct air of "We are signing Mesi" and I lost interest when it was said "For £200 Million". Lots of competition next term from more unlikely teams so could be an interesting time.
Don't try to be a great man. Just be a man and let history make up its own mind.

Looks like we could be buying Higuain. I don't know loads about him but what I do know sounds promising. Exciting times.

No way to the Rooney shirts! Tease! I don't think he will come to us anyway, especially not if we do get higuain. Think webber has finally realised if he wants to compete with the best he has to break wage structure and transfer records. We are only about 5 years behind everyone else...

hmmmm... are arsenal fans no longer proud of doing it the arsenal way? have you all turned into Citeh-fan-clones?Gooner Girl wrote:No way to the Rooney shirts! Tease! Rooney seems to prefer a move to chelsea where he is more likely to get his £250,000 a week - and where (he says) he is more likely to realise his ambitions...
though - i'd have thought there were as many grannies to shag around the emirates as there are around stamford bridge.. enough to satisfy his ambitions anyway...
meanwhile - in the real world - we're reportedly spunking £100,000 on hayden white...

Fine by me if he joins them. Theres no denying he is a good player but his wages are outrageous and I don't like him. Wouldn't be able to get my head round cheering him on for us. That would be too weird.thebish wrote:hmmmm... are arsenal fans no longer proud of doing it the arsenal way? have you all turned into Citeh-fan-clones?Gooner Girl wrote:No way to the Rooney shirts! Higuain is a quality player and will score plenty. It will be some top work from Arsenal behind the scenes if they pull this one off.Gooner Girl wrote:Looks like we could be buying Higuain. I don't know loads about him but what I do know sounds promising. Exciting times.

indeed - will be interesting to see if it unsettles the twoops... Theo won't be toppest paid best-boy anymore - will he become "unsettled" again?ChrisC wrote:Higuain is a quality player and will score plenty. He can always take up running. It's the only thing he is good at anyway.thebish wrote:indeed - will be interesting to see if it unsettles the twoops... Well we could have had the legend that is Tony Adams as a board member. I think he's fab and would love him to be involved with the club again in some way, though perhaps not as chairman...

He is, ever so slightly, mad.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
