Mwah, ha, haaa !!

You will get inundated with calls, texts, e-mails ... special offers ... trial offers, 'surveys' of why you left.

I'd give it a couple of months before you can say you're out of the woods.
Here's where I have to fess up, Bobo. I told them a fib. As far as they know I'm transferring to our Augusta site on 5th August.

Today I got a demand from the Inland Revenue for underpaid tax from January.

For £0.40.

They say if I don't pay they'll charge interest.

It's cost them more to post the bill out to me than the amount they can get.

I think I'll pay it when the accumulated interest makes it £1.00... Could take a while...

:D While he was a at uni, my son got a rent arrears demand for £0.01 with the accompanying threat of bailiffs should he fail to settle... he went to the accommodation office with a penny - and they refused to take it!

Shrinking clothes. I have a new suit that's only been worn a couple of times and, with a wedding coming up, I got the suit out and tried it on. Jacket fine but waist on the trousers has shrunk. Now I 'll have to have them let out to their original size, the bxstards..

44c here today. Summer hasn't really got going yet. Normally hotter and more humid by now. We'll likely get 50c+ and 95% humidity within a couple of weeks though :( Worst bit is the lack of cold water to have a shower!

So did we.

I can see more Tory coming out by the sentence in here. Tax avoidance, the works.

I shall carry the Socialist flag alone from now on, bloody right wingers.

All the fridges are packing in at work because we can't get the heat away from them. Its over that at ceiling height, which makes it not very pleasant. Just to add fuel to this particular fire, one of the (very large, very efficient at producing heat) ovens has been mis-repaired by the engineer, and so is bleeding heat into the kitchen. He can't return til monday, as of course they don't work weekends. Did I mention that the extraction in the potwash has packed in too? That'll be the bit with the huge opening-top dishwashers throwing out clouds of steam.

The Middle East?

I've shit it.

There is a saying I believe about heat and kitchens, M'lud, but it won't quite come to mind at the moment. I'll let you know when it does.

Cabriolet drivers. What kind of half wit spends way over the odds on the convertible model of a car then leaves the roof up on the few sunny days we have. 6 of them I passed on the M55 today, all mithered about spoiling their hair. W4nkers the lot of 'em.

I know its animals rather than humans, but life can be a bit cruel at times. Son in L.A is a real animal lover. Had a cat for about six years, today he found it behind his fence ripped to bits by a coyote. He's more than a tad upset right now. :(

I thought I'd get this in before I actually get angry ... as I certainly will, and I may be busy being angry at the time and not get the chance to post ...

The 'Royal Baby'.

I'm not a Republican, I'm quite for a symbolic head of state as it stops it being an elected, and so todays fashion, person (who, over the recent years would likely have been as divisive a choice as Thatch, Blair, Vince Cable, Boris Johnson etc.).

So, having a Royal family in the age of mass media and electronic information means lots of media attention.

But, yesterday, before the little bugger is even born the newspapers were full of it ... pages and pages and pages of it. Banal shite as well. This will, simply, explode one it drops. We'll be inundated with pointless bollox. It'll certainly be a good day month to bury bad news, if the spin-doctors haven't already noticed.
