But, the newspapers are full of it ... pages and pages and pages of it. Banal shite as well. This will, simply, explode one it drops. We'll be inundated with pointless bollox. It'll certainly be a good day month to bury bad news, if the spin-doctors haven't already noticed.

For f*cks sake, theres more than enough bloody cider to go round. We don't need every Johnny-come-lately joining in.
This is really starting to piss me off now. In a Michael-Douglas-Falling-Down kind of way.

And you can stick that f*cking Crabbies where the sun doesn't shine aswell.
For grown ups? Do you still wait by the front window for the sound of the ice cream van too?
I tell you, this is exactly why this country is in a mess.

Maybe they could invent Crabbies flavoured e-cigarettes. We could go on a coordinated killing spree LK.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGH.
We have recently outsourced our IT Support. This morning our Proxy server went down for our link with my key customer, so I rang up IT Support and got placed in a queue. (That never happened in the past). I then got an automated response to an email I sent (That never happened in the past), telling me my query would be dealt with within five working days (That NEVER happened in the past) unless it was urgent in which case I must ring up IT Support for it to be dealt with immmediately. So I rejoined the fckng queue and fifteeen minutes later (that never happened in the past) I got through to a technician. He told me he had logged my problem (that never happened in the past) and gave me an emergency incident number (that never happened in the past) to which updates would be logged and sent to me when my query had been sorted (that etc.).
Anyway I got an update telling me that my problem had been sorted and the incident closed off. The only problem was that the incident number wasn't the same as the one the techie gave me this morning and the poxy proxy server is still down.
So I went through the entire fxcking rigmarole again and got given another incident number.
Only, I've just had an email:
"An incident has been logged on your behalf with the following details:
blah blah blah
Incident No:INC15623002
Priority Low
Status New
Assignment Technician Peter
Short Description: Customer rang up to complain that wrong incident number had been assigned to an incident this morning."
...and no fcking mention of the poxied proxy server.
So I've just rung up again to be told...
(just wait for this, you WILL NOT BELIEVE IT)
That Pete has left for the day and will be on annual leave until the 15th July, and as the original incident has been closed and another raised in its place that has been actioned but not yet closed no other technician can access the records and I'm going to have to wait until Monday when bloody Pete (the incompetent moron) is back again.

When I asked for a new incident to be raised that actually mentions the problem, i.e. lack of proxy server service, I was told that the system only allows one open incident per customer and that I'd need to wait for my open incident to be closed.
FEEEEEEEEEEECK

I got one of my minions to log it. He's just got an email back stating "Service Restored. Incident Closed" with a different incident number to the one he was given ten minutes ago.
But, but, but the server is still down. WHAT IS IT WITH THESE PEOPLE???????????????????????????? TOSSERS!

But think of the money your company saves through outsourcing! Don't be upset by a tiny bit of inconvenience through growing pains. Relax and have a puff of an e-cig.

Borrow a cricket bat and head round there. IT in my old company knew I had a softball bat in my office so were always very helpful and responsive

The only reason HR survives in businesses is because people direct their ire at IT and 'Elf & Safety and are sort of worn out by the time we get stuck in.Lost Leopard Spot wrote:I got one of my minions to log it.
