Vaughan? And would would he know about it? He's no Insane now, is he? :D
Vaughan has been pointing out before the series started that the Australian batting line up has been averaging more runs than ours, by some margin over the last two years.

I think he would agree with me that our batting and consistency in run making is our big weakness.
Whether he would or he wouldn't, what's that got to do with the point at hand re- you praising our bowler when Vaughan says it was a shit stroke by the batter? :conf:

I look forward to seeing the highlights later, and having a search of the internet. :)

I doubt if Mystic Meg could have seen this one coming, never mind Michael Vaughan.

No excuse for the England batsmen now. Sun is out, conditions perfect for batting. Their number 11 has just had a knock of 98.

Time to show that they are decent batsmen.

Excuses? Could it not just be great cricket? It's the Ashes man.

Just like to point out I predicted something that none of you would of even thought possible, I said he was a good lad. Saw him play for Henley a couple of months ago.

One of the most intruiging days of Test Cricket since Ian Botham took the Ausies on or Shane Warne wiped the floor with us.. Waiting eagerly for the highlights hour at 7-0'clock. Magic stuff.

Edit..seen. 80-2. Put in proportion we can still get a grip on this. 270-280 is no real score total for tests for either side, so it's all about second innings now. We need Pietersen to carry on like he's started. Some of his straight drives have been brilliant.

Prediction?....Not on your life.

Just watched the highlights - what an absolutely outstanding day of cricket that's clearly been. Boo sucks to anyone on here, or indeed anywhere else, that calls themself a fan of the game yet remains incapable of appreciating that.

Make your fecking mind up
They are technically good players but we've a habit of collapses as a unit and throwing away too many wickets.

Cook and Pietersen batted very well this afternoon. We need them to continue in that manner and everyone who follows.

A 200 plus lead and it would be game on. It's an exciting test but if we could have a couple who go on and make big scores, Swann could be a match winner.
