Re: Diving Arsenal Players - The Least Shocking Admission Ev
whilst on my hols I read in a paper that Arsenal are sniffing around QPR goalie Cesar..
the article reckoned that Cesar would have to take a pay cut to go to Arsenal - which says summat about QPR - also, possibly, about Arsenal..
allegedly he is on £70,000 a week

I wonder how QPR are going to bend the rules around FFP?

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

The Sun?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Bish after an exhausting day trying to do the Sun crossword.

His release clause was £40M apparently. Typical Arsenal stingy b*stards.thebish wrote:£40,000,001 bid for Suarez.... apparently not accepted.

Re: Diving Arsenal Players - The Least Shocking Admission Ev
From what I read the release clause is significantly higher, the £40M offer just triggers a clause that the club must inform Suarez, but Liverpool are not bound by the offer and can reject it.bwfcdan94 wrote:His release clause was £40M apparently. Well one of the Liverpool owners (John Henry) has tweeted the following in response to the latest Suarez bid:
I wonder if Arsenal fans are going to wake up and smell the coffee anytime soon?
So Arsenal DO have money, but as usual Wenger is either struggling to spend it, or deliberately not spending it so as not to put himself under any pressure. What do you think they are smoking over there at Emirates?

Arsenal have lost out in the race to sign Gonzalo Higuain with the Real Madrid forward heading for a medical at Napoli after the clubs agreed a £34 million fee.
Higuain was believed to have favoured a move to Arsenal, who thought they had secured the striker's services after putting in a £23m bid.

Yet are now reported to have offered £40m and a £1 for Suarez.thebish wrote:Arsenal have lost out in the race to sign Gonzalo Higuain with the Real Madrid forward heading for a medical at Napoli after the clubs agreed a £34 million fee.

It really does seem that they sit and decide what size fee will look impressive yet actually fail to land the deal so the fans feel they are trying, when they actually aren't.

Not only Bish. Arsenal seem to think they're immune to criticism. I have a strong feeling that this will be Arse's grim season. I have to say I'll be disappointed but it's just about time.Gooner Girl wrote:Some might say Bish reports on our transfer failures almost gleefully...

Don't try to be a great man. Just be a man and let history make up its own mind.
Re: Diving Arsenal Players - The Least Shocking Admission Ev
There are some fans though of other London clubs in particular who see Arsene Wenger as a joke and therefore do not want him to leave for fear that a better manager would take his place, therefore there are some Tottenham and Chelsea fans in particular who would prefer to se Arsenal finish fourth rather than fifth or lower as it is well known that fourth is enough to keep Wenger in a job every season.

i don't think you will find many spurs fans that were keen for us to finish 4th last season actually Dan...bwfcdan94 wrote:There are some fans though of other London clubs in particular who see Arsene Wenger as a joke and therefore do not want him to leave for fear that a better manager would take his place, therefore there are some Tottenham and Chelsea fans in particular who would prefer to se Arsenal finish fourth rather than fifth or lower as it is well known that fourth is enough to keep Wenger in a job every season.

not at all - just showing my interest hun!Gooner Girl wrote:Some might say Bish reports on our transfer failures almost gleefully...
it'd not help Arsenal's cause much in the eyes of right-minded football fans if they lined up with Rooney or Suarez next season, though... I think you might have to bite your tongue too...
