Today I am overly excited and happy about my haircut, just booked in with John for 11.45 tomorrow. Am guessing this might be a girlie thing and blokes don't get so excited about haircuts but then you don't usually get a cup of tea and a soothing hairwash/pamper with it. My hair hasn't been cut in months and months and its ridiculously long so well in need. Tomorrows a bit of a tough day for me so will be nice to have something to look forward to. Plus I timed it cleverly so Mr GG will have to sort the twins lunch out.

Enjoy. When I had long hair I used to love having it washed and my head massaged at the same time. By a female hairdresser I might add!

For reasons of which I'm not quite sure I've stopped clippering my hair off and have grown it back to a length whereby I've started going back to the barbers. So, whilst I was off last week I paid a visit to the barber that'd cut my hair throughout my earlier life but who I hadn't seen in about 15 years. After him getting over his initial surprise of me turning up out of the blue we had a good catch up and a where've you been and who've you seen type natter (before him telling everyone else in the shop about the times that he'd had to administer Saturday morning emergency haircuts to me and my mates after one of us had been foolish enough to fall asleep the night before).
So, I'm in the chair and he's examining my head before saying "You're hair's gone really dark with age hasn't it, Bruce............... and quite a bit thinner on top?!" Just get it cut, man.

Attaboy! Keep vigilant because the desire never really goes away although the cravings become more and more manageable. The first few weeks are the worst so you are over that hump. You also need to avoid eating too much as an alternative source of oral gratification - no point in avoiding lung disease to collapse of heart disease through overweight! The only real danger is drinking a few in the company of smokers!

Great stuff, Tango! But its when you start to think that you wont slip back that you are most at risk of slipping back! The bastardly cravings never quite leave you alone. 1992 I stopped (23rd April) and even now it can catch me by surprise when out of the corner of my eye I catch someone lighting up. Beware!

Go on the Tango. Good luck, smoking is hard to give up (although I wont claim to have taken up smoking and therefore never have needed to try to give it up) 6 weeks is a big achievement, try to use your wife as inspiration. Are you seeing any health benefits for it or not.
