Great start for England. 4 wickets for the addition of 40 runs. Aussies lead by 24 runs.

Nail the last wicket quickly and it's game on again. Come on lads.

Aye. Good stuff. We need the class batters to show their mettle now, knock a presentable score up and give us a full day at them. Like I said, game on now.

That's the trouble. We now rely on the batsmen. They can't do as badly as they did in the first innings surely?

Have to say, it's a good job we've already got the ashes in the bag.

Cos I do fancy Australia to win here. 250 would be a competitive lead to set them.

But I'm not convinced we can get 280 odd as Aussies seem to be bowling well and we are bound to chuck a few away as well.

Only got Skysports commentary but Michael Atherton called it "an absolute jaffa". Can't really blame the batsman when the bowler sends dowen an unplayable cracker. Just top bowling.

BWFCi..we will win.

To try and describe it for you, Tango - To the point of the ball pitching it's honed on middle peg, Root defends the line to middle on his front foot, the ball absolutely flattens off stump. Sometimes you just have to hold your hands up - and that was one.

Let's wait and see. Main thing coming through it's the same for both sides with the wicket favouring the bowlers. Cracking test cricket when it's so close. One side dominating the other proves nothing. The Oz could have been demoralised after the first two tests but they're showing guts and fighting back. Nervy, twitchy stuff all round.

Cheers Bruce. As an ex fast bowler it sounds like a Valhalla ball. As you say, just hold your hands up and applaud it.

There we have it. Cook throws his wicket away. Piss poor.

Make them bowl you out for god sakes.

And...er, oh dear. Trott gone. We really need a dig in from Pietersen and Bell or we're going to be in real troube. Pitch seems to be well favouring the bowlers all round.

Pitch isn't doing anything today.

Root got out to a good ball.

Trott and Cook gave their wickets away.

Our batting is just piss poor. No excuses. Not good enough.

is that the same as "big trouble"? if so - BWFCi told us we were already in that just after tea on day 1!

Pietersen nearly threw his wicket away there. FFS.

Taking on some shots to keep the scoreboard is fine. But why are we so reckless.

Bit of balance needed. Be aggressive, not stupid.
