KP is KP. He didn't get out trying a big shot. He just got into all sorts of trouble against the spinner coming round the wicket. Just never looked comfortable against that.

No point just blocking. Runs are important here. At some point a good ball will arrive. Need to make sure we get runs on the board. But not recklessly. Cook and Trott both were out being stupid.

Have to agree with Nasser though that the officials, who have been absolutely dreadful in this series, don't help themselves by dragging the players off when if they'd have bothered to simply look at the sky they'd have realised that it'd be brightening up again in two minutes.

Good day's cricket. We were in the deep stuff when Bell and Pietersen came in and as well as steadying it all, Pietersen's 44 was a tidy assist. "Ding dong, the Wizard lives". Ian Bell took it all one and got a third ton this series. That's really going. 200 plus in front with five wickets left. A good day tomorrow and we'll hopefully nail its hat on. Off to watch the highlights now on Channel 4.

Funny every session this test seems to be crucial.

For me the morning session tomorrow defines it.

Aussies get the new ball. Couple of wickets early days and England could lose their last five wickets cheaply like the Aussies did yesterday. If we bat through that session at worst for 7 then bat an hour into the afternoon we should be 320 ish ahead. And 300 plus, if Australia get that we are talking top class performance.
