And now they are in the group stages round and if they get through that (ha!) they'll be in the knock-out round. But these are all rounds in the Champions League. if you get through the play-off round - then you qualify to be in the champions league. if you don't qualify for something - then you are not in it.

Arsenal ARE now in it - but they weren't until they had qualified.
