Obama said: "If you have both a credible threat of force, combined with a rigorous diplomatic effort...you can strike a deal."
Netanyahu said: "if diplomacy has any chance to work, it must be coupled with a credible military threat."
on that logic - surely Obama should be arming Palestinians so that they too can combine rigorous diplomatic effort with a credible threat of force and thus give diplomacy with Israel a chance to work?
we should also be encouraging Iran to have nukes...

I think the clue why Iran shouldn't have nukes is in the coupling of a credible threat of force with a rigorous diplomatic effort You've quoted Obama and Netanyahu, here's what Ahmadenijad has to saythebish wrote:Obama said: "If you have both a credible threat of force, combined with a rigorous diplomatic effort...you can strike a deal."

That's the last nutter though. The current regime were wishing the Jews a happy Rosh Hashanah. Now, that doesn't mean it's all now fine, but a less mental Iran is a good thing for everyone, shirley??

Furthermore a less mental Iran, without nukes would, in my truly humble opinion, be even better.

Re: The Politics Thread
Maybe if people stopped demonising mythical demi-gods we might begin to understand what utter bollix lies behind senseless slaughter... For example, I note this fine example of a quote from today's Times "The message for Bashar Assad from Geneva is that he can have time to carry on killing as he usually does"
All my post was pointing out is that me, as an individual, who has not yet been elevated into the status of an Obama, or an Ahmadenijad, or a Geneva, or an Assad is a bit tired of quotes from INDIVIDUALS who aren't.
To see what I mean, just go back and re-read that Times quote. I don't think he's been cloned even once, and I sincerely doubt he's done any killing himself. And I understand he's not immune for a portion of the shit, but, he's not this huge colossus of destruction: he is just one member of a multi-faceted conglomeration of disparate individuals who are propagating slaughter. Can we all stop pretending it's Assad's or Obama's, or Netan-feck*-yahu's fault? It's not - it's mine, and your's and your neighbour's mother's fault.

I'm having a good chuckle at the differentiating between the mental Israelis and the mental Iranians. One being a bit brown perhaps clouding people's judgement?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

As Iranians are the pure and unadulterated original Aryan offspring, I'm presuming you think the Israelis are a bit brown. I'm chuckling at that...Lord Kangana wrote:I'm having a good chuckle at the differentiating between the mental Israelis and the mental Iranians. To expand on this, because believe me, this point to the general population, either here or in other countries, is not well known: racially, that is genetically, and linguistically, Iranians are first cousins to Teutons/Germans. Which is why it becomes a bit embarrasing when spokesmen for that race go on about annihilating Israel just a few decades after the Germans attempted to wipe out the Jews.
Give it another couple of decades and I can see Brits joining the fxclin bandwagon. We are after all brothers to the Teutons and cousins to the Iranians.

People are humans. The ones that mainly broadcast this sort of shit are members of the media.

And, just to let you know where I'm coming from... If, and obviously I'm not, I were a member of some priestly website, and I came across you in my postings, I'd be asking myself why are you so angry. Now, don't get me wrong - if you want to do ANGRY, I could be an ace student, but then again, I'm not the emissary of any religion that purports to be peaceful ( either directly, or through its figurehead).Lost Leopard Spot wrote:Really? Have you just discovered hallucinogens or something? Your posts over the last couple of days remind me of the times we used to cane ket and E for a whole weekend.
