Where are they now? - Martin Petrov

Post by boltonboris » Mon Sep 23, 2013 8:00 pm

The mercurial, opinion splitting, left winger has signed for amateur Manchester Saturday Morning Football League division 1 newcomers West Didsbury AFC. In the same league as the mighty Worsley Town no less. Big coup for them and made his debut on Saturday at Hough End playing fields.

Surely there are never 92 better left wingers than Martin Petrov in England? Same with Steinsson as well.

There has to be a club in League One or Two who could do with someone to just stand on the wing and whip balls in towards some beanpole upfront.

i'm sure there's people in england with lower left leg amputations that'd make better left wingers..

bolton's forwards were six foot plus and he mustve got about two in at their heads in christ knows how many months.

add to that the shrug shouldersyness when he loses the ball, in division four i'd assume it'd be way more goal conceding than it was for us.

werent worth the risk for us , it definetely wont be for the likes of fleetwood.

portsmouth might buy him. coz theyre mental.

if coyle werent a lying fecker, he'd be playing against city tonite or tomoz

Yes my mistake. Torpedo Chorlton, who we play soon.

1) He's a crap winger.
2) His crosses were always too high or low in his latter months, so rarely got assists.
3) He just shrugged when he lost the ball and never tried to track back to win it back.
4) His wages were too high for what he did for us.
5) A team such as Portsmouth might sign him. For some reason.
6) If Coyle was still managing, he'd still be playing for us. Not sure how City factors into it.

EDIT: Ah, I think he's saying Coyle should have signed him for Wigan.
Ah .... the last bit in particular foxed me. The rest was just bllx but that confused me.

Petrov, when he wasn't lazy, was very good. I would have that Petrov in the team any day.
