As Iranians are the pure and unadulterated original Aryan offspring, I'm presuming you think the Israelis are a bit brown. I'm chuckling at that...

To expand on this, because believe me, this point to the general population, either here or in other countries, is not well known: racially, that is genetically, and linguistically, Iranians are first cousins to Teutons/Germans. Which is why it becomes a bit embarrasing when spokesmen for that race go on about annihilating Israel just a few decades after the Germans attempted to wipe out the Jews.
Give it another couple of decades and I can see Brits joining the fxclin bandwagon. We are after all brothers to the Teutons and cousins to the Iranians.
Have you just discovered hallucinogens or something? Your posts over the last couple of days remind me of the times we used to cane ket and E for a whole weekend. We too thought we made sense to anyone but ourselves.
It's a fact... I don't know: try googling Indo-Aryan... Might just make sense if you understand the background. :conf:
After all, it was you who mentioned race... Or was your remark about being a bit brown some other reference?

All my post was pointing out is that me, as an individual, who has not yet been elevated into the status of an Obama, or an Ahmadenijad, or a Geneva, or an Assad is a bit tired of quotes from INDIVIDUALS who aren't.
To see what I mean, just go back and re-read that Times quote. I don't think he's been cloned even once, and I sincerely doubt he's done any killing himself. And I understand he's not immune for a portion of the shit, but, he's not this huge colossus of destruction: he is just one member of a multi-faceted conglomeration of disparate individuals who are propagating slaughter. Can we all stop pretending it's Assad's or Obama's, or Netan-feck*-yahu's fault? It's not - it's mine, and your's and your neighbour's mother's fault.

i literally have no idea what you are talking about or who these "people" are...
Really? No idea at all?
People are humans. The ones that mainly broadcast this sort of shit are members of the media.

I'm on medication, but I don't think that is the cause of a complete breakdown in communication. Might have been the six pints I'd had, mind! :pissed:

the bedroom tax... take a bow!

The Independent wrote:More than 50,000 people affected by the so-called bedroom tax have fallen behind on rent and face eviction, figures given to The Independent show.

The statistics reveal the scale of debt created by the Government’s under-occupancy charge, as one council house tenant in three has been pushed into rent arrears since it was introduced in April.

Figures provided by 114 local authorities across Britain after Freedom of Information (FoI) requests by the campaign group False Economy show the impact of the bedroom tax over its first four months. The total number of affected council tenants across Britain is likely to be much higher than the 50,000 recorded in the sample of local authorities that responded to the FoI.

At least another 30,000 people living in housing association properties have also fallen behind on rent payments since the bedroom tax came in, with potentially tens of thousands more also affected, according to separate research by the National Housing Federation.

Here most people feel that you should be able to see your teacher's face (especially children). However, our xenophobic provincial government has gone further (you'd love them). In order to deal with the Niqab and burka (and not wishing to target Muslims they, following France, say we are a secular society so no public servant can wear a religious symbol of any sort above a certain size. This includes kippahs, turbans, star of David necklaces, etc. They seem to have annoyed everyone.

Liebour!

Big firms to train apprentices for every NON EU EMPLOYEE they take on!

FFS it's the EU MIGRANTS that are causing the problem, nice sidestep millipede.

(Are they going to be building 200,000 houses a year for their potential Eastern EU supporters)

Pretty good idea for Labour to go for this price cap on energy, workable or not, as the Tories will naturally be against such interference and will get portrayed as being in bed with the companies rather than trying to help folk out.

I'm going to get pretty bored of the phrases "One Nation" and "Cost of Living Crisis" soon though

it is a bit of a bear-trap for the tories... I didn't hear the speech and haven't seen the detail... what's to stop energy companies whacking on a huge increase before the freeze comes into place? (or is is a cap? I heard "freeze" on the radio this morning)

i see the tories are threatening blackouts!

It is termed a freeze by Labour but in an industry where price is the only way to differentiate between companies I can't imagine the Big 6 will do anything other than match each other's prices exactly for those two years, so it sort of becomes a cap.

Reminds me of this

http://www.theguardian.com/politics/201 ... soundbites" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

In the two-minute 30-second version of the interview seen by the Guardian, Green tries six times to get Miliband to expand on his position about why he believes the strike action is wrong.

In each case he receives the same reply, that the strikes are wrong when negotiations are underway, the government has acted in a "reckless and provocative manner" and both sides need to "set aside the rhetoric" and "get around the negotiating table to stop this happening again".
