Glad you're enjoying it Dan. I have, what will hopefully be, my last ever chartered accountancy exam next month.
What is the name of the exam/course is it AAT or ACCA. I have got my first one 2 weeks today, did my mock and got 70% (which is a pass) one of the best in the class well chuffed despite what others might think  . Have you got a job yet as these courses are pretty expensive and if so what as?
It's ICAS (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland). It's essentially an equivalent to the ACCA (I think) but did a degree in lieu of the AAT.

I work in assurance (or audit) for one of the 'big 4' firms and my 3 year training contract comes to an end next May.

Well done on your 70%, keep it up as I'm sure it'll only get harder! What is the module on?

All sorts my first exam is on assigning costs to various cost centres, fifo, lifo etc. The second is basic bookkeeping (T accounts, balancing, creating sales and purchase legers etc). I am quite confident I will pass the first exam not so much about the second (and then there is like 13 more after that).Thank you for the encouragement :D .

Phew! Kids party over and they had a lovely time. Collapsed in a heap in front of X factor with the dog and a large cup of tea now! :)

Played Deane GC today for the first time. A cracking and incredibly consistent course and a club with fantastically friendly, welcoming and helpful members. If I do look to join a club next year then this place tops the local list so far.

I have just done another 2 hour mock and got 93% in part A and 99% in part B (I.E average 96%). I always thought teachers at school were just trying to give hope to the dumb kids when they said that everybody has a talent however clearly they were right :D (note: I would like to think given how well I did at school that I wasent considered one of the dumb kids).

It'd take longer than 6 months. Plus I'd look like a badger.

Status Quo don't do nail polish and eye make up. Just heads down no nonsense boogie. I've booked the neck brace for the day after though. :oyea:
