Ireland International team
Well .... a dream team ??
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24786016" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
or a disaster waiting to happen ?
O'Neill AND Roy Keane managing the Irish
To be honest, is there any, even vague, possibility that this will work ?

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Well I think that's one of the best ideas since sliced bread.

Be interesting to see how Keane deals with player discipline after calling MM a wanker and walking out. Be a bit like Laurel and Hardy I would imagine..or if Keane is as thick as he looks the Three Stooges.
Don't try to be a great man. Just be a man and let history make up its own mind.

I don't think Keane is as thick as he looks. I think, lurking beneath the eyebrows, is a keane (sic) intelligence.Gravedigger wrote:Be interesting to see how Keane deals with player discipline after calling MM a wanker and walking out. This WILL be a car-crash. Not necessarily in slow motion even.
There may be a brief honeymoon period, but sooner or later O'Neill will get all precious and Keane will have a Keane-style explosion.

Guaranteed. It's an incredible decision. I live in Dublin so I'll get to witness the nuclear winter from close up.
The only fans in favour are those of the Celtic variety. But I'm afraid their poor little dreams won't take long to be shattered.
Shame as they could have gone through a period of rebirth after getting shot of Trapatoni. Unfortunately O'Neill also prefers defensive football so I have no idea what the hell the FAI were thinking.
But then nobody has any idea what they're thinking anyway.

Ah good. Then you must quote Alan Partridge's opinion to the natives at every opportunity - "Bucktoothed simpletons with eyebrows on their cheeks... horses running through council estates... men in platform shoes being arrested for bombings... badly tarmacced drives... in this country."Jakerbeef wrote: I live in Dublin

'Sunday Bloody Sunday'. What a great song. It really encapsulates the frustration of a Sunday, doesn't it? You wake up in the morning, you've got to read all the Sunday papers, the kids are running round, you've got to mow the lawn, wash the car, and you think "Sunday, bloody Sunday!".Bruce Rioja wrote:Ah good.
