Where would you emigrate to

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

Just avoid Kavos if you do. As a restaurateur said to me and 3 mates a few years back, 'Why you come to Kavos? Eeeees toilet.'

I'd like to move back to Bolton.
Maybe somewhere a little classier than Little Lever like, if such a place exists.

My brother, my next door neighbour and several mates all moved to Spain and Portugal to live. They're all back.

I'm on my 4th time of living in Bolton, having returned in 1990 when my wife got a job at the Octagon... There's an umbilical cord for Boltonians attached to one of the lions on the town Hall Square...

I'd like to live in Cordoba, Andalucia, for about 6 months... I love Spain but i don't want to make it my home, but do fancy an extended stay in my favourite city anywhere...

Ah, but that'd make you an immigrant, and a part of the problem. ;)

Southern France for me.

How much are we talking, Hoboh?
Bit more than my current net value I'm afraid, you need to prove funds to live and without any family sponsors there, enough to get an investors visa.
Takes the Mickey out of requirements to come to the UK.
On the other hand someone in your line should be quite eligible
You need quite a bit of cash for an investor's visa but this is just a fast track method. Political refugee is another fast track method (are you in danger from all those socialist pinkos in the UK?). You can also get in fast if you are skilled in one of these occupations - note there is a cap on each one which may have been reached. I don't know what you are skilled in (other than jingoism  ). There are also the usual methods for non-businessmen, non-refugees and non-skilled people which take a little longer but are not costly. Just apply and wait for a couple of years.
It does look good there monty, you know the area?
Yes, I know Nova Scotia quite well and have been most places in the Province. Really nice in the Spring and Summer. Unfortunately they get the end of the hurricanes so a lot of rain in the Fall (autumn to you). Can get severe snow storms in the Winter. Water very cold on the Atlantic coast. The Gulf side (north and west) has warmer water for swimming. The Bay of Fundy has the highest tides in the world (forty foot rise) and the rivers flow backwards (uphill) when the tide's coming in. Cape Breton Island has scenery that is quite like parts of Scotland. The mainland is flatter, mostly farms and fishing villages, other than Halifax/Dartmouth which is a nice enough city. In short a great place to vacation in the Summer but I'm not sure I'd like to live there year round. No professional sports teams either.

10 years ago (I lived there) and there is a feeling of being that better than others up in the hills although admittedly I lived just off Lee Lane so was right in the centre of town so to speak.

Ill have a chance to see properly how its changed when I move back there though.

If I leave now I could be there for first orders.

OI!!! I actually live ON Lee Lane, but having recently moved from Great Lever I still find it quite posh and quaint.

Especially the mating calls of the local wildlife early in the morning (after they've been kicked out of The Saddle).

I'm still barred from the Saddle !!
