80% and I'm from a lot further North than York.

Ireland's colder than England so that excuses me on the coat question. It pisses down all year.

Is NI that far north though? Just coz real-world Geography is f*cked up. Like Edinburgh being further west than Liverpool does my head in. HOW?!

That's somewhere around Newcastle.

However much it's sneered at and however much I live around people who don't say it .... I simply can't call my evening meal "dinner" without feeling like I'm being a ponce.

Nor, short of 3' of snow or rain in buckets can I be arsed with a coat.

.... & how can anyone, & I mean anyone, brought up in Britain and older tgan about 10 not know about Ilkley Moor ?

So I start around Watford before getting going I guess.

More than half of Scotland is west of Liverpool according to the map, and all Northern Ireland is north of us.

You won't believe this, but Mrs H just did the test, scoring 40%, "That's somewhere around Wolverhampton".

She IS from Wolverhampton

Nope, she tried to claim "Get 'em in yer", to appear more northern, but I rumbled her and she had to confess that she didn't know what they were. I think it was "Tag" that did for her. Southerner.
Hope is what keeps us going.

I just redid it and took the unintuitive route. I got 0%.

Apparently that's for someone from Jersey !! So you can stick your Kent's !!

What do people with this particular hang up (if there are others) say when they want to ask a female acquaintance out for an evening meal?

Nothing - I was just wondering if people said that! Boris seems to think not.
