I love Christmas! And less of the little! Scrooge.Bruce Rioja wrote:You're another of Santa's Little Helpers as well, aren't you?!Gooner Girl wrote:Oooh exciting! Are you on pinterest? Re: Today I'm happy about......
I don't really get excited about Christmas, I haven't really been excited about since I was 11 or 12 although the last couple of Christmases I've not been looking forward to and this one in particular I really am not looking forward to. My sister on the other hand normally starts planning for Christmas in August (and as a result normally refers to me as "the Grinch" from end of November onwards) however she is a little more pessimistic this year. We have my reasons and I am not going to bore you with the details.
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.

I know that you probably have very personal reasons for this Dan, but trust me, when you have a family of your own you will rediscover your love for Christmas.bwfcdan94 wrote:I don't really get excited about Christmas, I haven't really been excited about since I was 11 or 12 although the last couple of Christmases I've not been looking forward to and this one in particular I really am not looking forward to. The excitement of your own kids will mean that you revert to being like a kid at Christmas yourself. My daughter is now 17 and it's still ace!

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I love Christmas, I'm fecking miserable for 11 months of the year, but I go all out for Christmas (but strictly nothing Christmas related before December 1st).Burnden Paddock wrote:I know that you probably have very personal reasons for this Dan, but trust me, when you have a family of your own you will rediscover your love for Christmas.bwfcdan94 wrote:I don't really get excited about Christmas, I haven't really been excited about since I was 11 or 12 although the last couple of Christmases I've not been looking forward to and this one in particular I really am not looking forward to. This morning, our new puppy waited at the back door, went outside and did her very first outdoor wee and poo
. I'm such a sniff, proud, stifled sob, father.......

That's tremendous, Bob. We eventually realised that the last puppy I house trained was having trouble because she was trying to go in the bathroom the same as us! Far too clever for their own good, Border Collies.

My Under 13's girls football team are shaping up nicely. Helps that I have a Year 7 who's on the books of Brighton and Hove Albion in as my captain and midfield dynamo. Bring on Wednesdays tourno.

How come you only get to train good teams then GG?Gooner Girl wrote:My Under 13's girls football team are shaping up nicely. Helps that I have a Year 7 who's on the books of Brighton and Hove Albion in as my captain and midfield dynamo. Bring on Wednesdays tourno.

Re: Today I'm happy about......
I get our A team rather then the D team for the tourno cos I'm the only female member of staff who is a qualified football coach.bwfcdan94 wrote:How come you only get to train good teams then GG?Gooner Girl wrote:My Under 13's girls football team are shaping up nicely. And I don't always get to train the good ones. I teach PE and Games to all abilities. Its just the A team tend to have more matches and each member of staff takes a different year group for matches on a Wednesday - I usually have the Year 5's (U10's) but they don't have a game this week and the older girls have football rather then hockey hence why I am helping out there.
I have the U10 B's for a hockey match next week , they will probably get hammered!
Re: Today I'm happy about......
So basically you are better qualified and a little bit of luck as well.

Embarrassing dad strikes again.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.
