I think you could probably do without the gunships and sharks as a nod in the direction of progressive liberalism.
a) deport is the wrong word for a UK citizien (unlawful confinement would be closer to this suggestion), and
b) until convicted of a crime he has a citizen's right to freedom of movement within the jurisdiction.
So you need to find what law he has broken and then get him convicted. Rockall would not be a bad spot for a new maximum security prison though it might be hard to find warders....

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
The reason I suggested Rockall, was to get round the deportation problem. He would of course still have complete right to freedom of movement. I think Ireland is the nearest location he could get to. We probably wouldn't need many warders. If we opened it as a police station, he could be released without charge, without having committed an offence.Montreal Wanderer wrote:It's all a nice idea butWorthy4England wrote:No sharks, but Rockall would fit the bill perfectly.Hoboh wrote:I'm sure we must own a lump of rock somewhere we can deport the unwanted to,couple of helicopter gunships off shore to guard it, shark infested waters, job sorted.thebish wrote:ahhh - I see - Hoboh IS living in the 19th Century! all becomes clear!

I'm all in favour if its agreed that all Daily Mail journalists/columnists have to live there too. I think we can all climb on board with that idea.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Now that's an idea - make him arrange his own transport home. Not that easy to land on Rockal (or build a police station I suppose).Worthy4England wrote:The reason I suggested Rockall, was to get round the deportation problem. But then they would be concentrated and Richard Littlejohn might mate with Jan Moir.Worthy4England wrote:On that basis, I'm still in.Lord Kangana wrote:I'm all in favour if its agreed that all Daily Mail journalists/columnists have to live there too. Electric fences and compulsory sterilisation. Make them wear a Daily Star on all their clothes in case they escape.
They're always papping on about how the past is better, let them experience a bit of it.

The ongoing drip-drip of the Republican violence in Northern Ireland.
I don't need telling that it's a complex issue, and that despite the 'peace' there has been continuing intimidation and incidents. There does seem to be an increased tempo however.
At least last night this guy's attempt failed and he's, hopefully, very badly injured ...

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I hope he survives, but with severely debilitating injuries.

The whole concept of fire or bombs is that of madmen. They injure and kill people who have nothing to do with politics and believe they're some sort of warriors with a cause? If the Irish problem ever gets solved at all, it won't be fire-bombs or any other boms that solve it. Light bulbs.
After the great green con and having all sorts of bulbs banned we were consigned to bulbs which "warm up" before they properly illuminate. Then we discover that they can't be environmentally disposed of due to some constituent trace element.
Oh, and shouldn't be used with dimmer-switches apparently.
Then halogen bulbs, lower power for equal or greater light ... about 5x more expensive than previous ones but rest assured they will last for years. Most boasted a 5 year life, I recall. .... well they fckg don't last 5 years. They blow at the same, if not quicker, rate than the old ones do.
Grrrrr.

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
Whilst you're passing can you pick one up for me and drop it over please Bobo? One went in our living room today, its a bit dark and gloomy and I can't get up to go to the shop as the cat is sitting on my lap. I'll make you a cup of tea - and if you fit it to there might even be a chocolate biscuit in it for you...bobo the clown wrote:I'm on my way !!! I did but it's grey dark and rainy in Sussex this morning. And normally I try to be dressed before opening them to avoid giving passers by a fright.boltonboris wrote:Open the curtains!
