This was in Liverpool. Not even I can get banned from places in Liverpool. I'm a bloody amateur compared with this lot.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Bad luck but be glad you came out relatively unscathed - you can replace cars...89bwfc89 wrote:Sad more than angry.....I crashed my new car today. I'm ok just very achey and I know it could have been worse but my poor little car is a mess

Thanks....
Haha Harry that's true. ...it'll have brightened their day at least!
Someone went into the side of me, so no space saving advantages Worthy
I thought they were letting me pull out so I did but evidently they weren't!
Will find out tomorrow if it's a write off. Let's hope not!

^ Just a thought, the new scam doing the rounds is 'flash for cash'. Did the other driver flash his headlights to make you think he was giving way?
Re: Today I'm angry about.....
And was the driver from a, erm, how can I put this, you weren't anywhere near Daubhill were you?
Uma mesa para um, faz favor. Obrigado.
Re: Today I'm angry about.....
I thought he flashed me to let me pull out but, and I know appearances can sometimes deceive, he was an older, white man with his wife in the car. Working at the firm I do, I know the "type" and he doesn't fit the bill. Sorry if that's not the most PC way of putting things, I'm not trying to offend anyone.

No offence taken. And are you a young woman who has only been driving a few years who just happened to pull out of a junction in front of a speeding car by any chance?89bwfc89 wrote:I thought he flashed me to let me pull out but, and I know appearances can sometimes deceive, he was an older, white man with his wife in the car. Things get lost in translation over the Atlantic. I'm not quite sure what we would make of remarks like "I thought he flashed me to let me pull out but, and I know appearances can sometimes deceive" but I suspect the guardian of public morals might get involved.

Same here, Monty, but on this side of the divide we had the good grace to let it go without comment.Montreal Wanderer wrote:Things get lost in translation over the Atlantic. No attempt to offend - just contemplating the vagaries of language.89bwfc89 wrote:No idea what you and Montreal W are getting at here so if you were trying to offend me, it's totally gone over my head.Bruce Rioja wrote:Same here, Monty, but on this side of the divide we had the good grace to let it go without comment.Montreal Wanderer wrote:Things get lost in translation over the Atlantic. what do you call it in canadaland if someone flashes their headlights at you - would you not ever say "s/he flashed me"?Montreal Wanderer wrote:No attempt to offend - just contemplating the vagaries of language.89bwfc89 wrote:No idea what you and Montreal W are getting at here so if you were trying to offend me, it's totally gone over my head.Bruce Rioja wrote:Same here, Monty, but on this side of the divide we had the good grace to let it go without comment.Montreal Wanderer wrote:Things get lost in translation over the Atlantic.
