Re: Nigel Clough
Well. to be fair, losing today to Forest did leave then in lowly 11th place !!Annoyed Grunt wrote:Sacked by Derby...
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: Nigel Clough
It was failure to beat the bottom club in the previous game that did for him. Oh the humiliation!
...
Re: Nigel Clough
TBF I think having lost to both of their rivals did more damage for him. Surprised by the sacking non the less simply because he has been at the club for such a long time.
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.

Football is nuts.
In a world that has decided
That it's going to lose its mind
Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.

Re: Nigel Clough
Talking to a Derby fan today, who was visiting me in t'ospital. Apparently, more than half of them are very annoyed that he's been sacked. The other thing she told me, and I've no idea how TRUE this is, was that he was the second longest serving Manager in the English League, after Arsend Whinger. 17 years, 4 years, other people - if that's TRUE, (why the fxck does my phone capitalise that?), then that really does indicate to me that most football clubs have a really shit boardroom. Anybody fancy clubbing together and doing a leveraged buyout of a club with somebody elses money???

Re: Nigel Clough
Is the man that sacked Nigel Clough the same 4uckwit that sacked Billy Davies and replaced him with Jimmy Jewel, do we know?

Re: Nigel Clough
I just hope we don't follow the meteoric roller coaster ride that the Blades have patented - very occasional forays upwards with vast abyssal plummets.

Re: Nigel Clough
Just had a very confusing conversation with a couple of cup bound Blades supporters. Despite the fact they've now drifted into the relegation zone they were both adamant that Nige was the second coming. Mind, they hardly helped their argument when it turned out that Warnock was the Messiah first. Football fans, deluded creatures all....
