I thought it was more dangerous to drive on a wet skidy surface when it is pouring it down than when its a clear day. I think car drivers are so terrified of the rain that they go faster in it.

Drivers also speed up when they're low on fuel, Dan, so that they can get to the petrol station before they run out.

When you're driving down the M6 or M62 etc with the rain bucketing down, the wipers are on mach speed and you can hardly see for spray, going faster is the very last thing on most sensible minds, believe me.

People who make shorts.

Why the feck can you not buy a pair of sports shorts which have pockets, but do not have that swimming short netting?! You can have no netting and no pockets, or pockets and netting. Because I wont need to put anything in my pockets at all when doing anything, unless I'm going in the f*cking water.

And as for ZIP pockets? No chance. Wankers.

Cheers Clappers, but they're not really made for running in I don't think. The chafage on Chino shorts wouldn't bear thinking about.

And Brucie, it's not long enough to poke out the bottom, it's not the 80s any more :D

Super Bowl wankers.

I'm not on about those who, for some reason far beyond my comprehension, genuinely like that shit, but the once-a-year, bleary-eyed and hungover in work tomorrow giving it the 'yah I'm so tired because I totally stayed up to watch the Super Bowl yah. It's like an insight into American culture'.

F*ck off and die. If you liked it, you'd watch it all year.

If they watched it all the time, they'd talk about it in the office all the time. And then you'd have to kill them very publicly and very violently. And then you'd go to jail. Stop being the Turkey putting his X next to The Christmas Party, and understand the favour his part-timedness is doing for you.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Wouldn't you like to see a game live, though? I know i would. In the company of someone really knowledgeable about it. ATM - I won't be watching but you know what I mean - the whole thing is only semi comprehensible...

The cheapest seat was US $2000 and it wasn't a good game. All a bit disappointing. The son of a friend of mine and his pal won a pair and went. I'll see what they have to day about it.

I used to watch American Football a lot in my mid to late twenties. I even went to see the London Monarchs play at Wembley, White Hart Lane and Stamford Bridge when they had the European league. Great sport and you got to drink a beer or five whilst watching it. And the cheerleaders? Oh my. They made the Crystal Palace girls look like Subo!

The best game I ever saw was an exhibition match with Buffalo Bills and the Dallas Cowboys at the old Wembley Stadium. 6 hours of drunken debauchery interspersed with a bit of catch. Superb.

Ho, ho. Whatever happened to the angry young Che Guevara-style anarchist forever preaching free-speech, no rules and free choices in everything? The debonair cigar-smoking, lounger on Parisienne balconies who thought nothing of queuing up at the supermarket in his pink dressing gown? Now he's a cardigan wearing middle-class borgeois clay-pigeeon shooting aristocrat who wants to make rules for everyone else. Wow, how are the mighty fallen....

See, once, I was staying in the same London hotel that United Airlines put their pilots and whatnot up in, and much to my chagrin the fiendish buggers had seized the bar area and were all a whooping and a hollering at a game of big girl's Rugby on the television. Anyway, once one of them explained to me what was going on....................... I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Bloody great. Today am angry with myself. Am in Alkmaar and fancy a wander in pursuit of a nosebag. It's fecking freezing. Have just realised that I've forgotten to pack a jacket. Choices are now - eat in the less-than-inspiring hotel restaurant?! Go out and freeze to death?! Starve to death?!
Decisions, decisions. Pillock. :whack:

Buy a jacket in the hotel shop, charge it to the expense account, go out and have a good time. Simples.
