Not great, but probably a step up from the hotel restaurant.

Buy a jacket in the hotel shop, charge it to the expense account, go out and have a good time. Simples.

I'm not on about those who, for some reason far beyond my comprehension, genuinely like that shit, but the once-a-year, bleary-eyed and hungover in work tomorrow giving it the 'yah I'm so tired because I totally stayed up to watch the Super Bowl yah. It's like an insight into American culture'.

F*ck off and die. If you liked it, you'd watch it all year.
Wouldn't you like to see a game live, though? I know i would. In the company of someone really knowledgeable about it. ATM - I won't be watching but you know what I mean - the whole thing is only semi comprehensible...
Not really. I mean, if someone offered me a free ticket to the Wembley one I'd defo go, but it's not really something I *want* to do. It's not the game I can't stand (though I do think it's a bit dull), but the knob head once a year wankers whose main interest regarding the game is making sure you know they watch the Superbowl.

I wasn't proposing eating in the taxi !

I did this once, in Antwep and the hotel lent me a coat from lost property. Worth an ask.

Ne'er mind Bruce. I've got the first edition of Dan's Towns about my person...
Here's the relevant entry - Alkmaar: shithole. (notes; quite often cold, second rate coat shops, infrequent taxis, no notable nosebaggery)

Turned out to be a plethora of nosebaggeries all on the same cobbled street straight facing the hotel. Went in a little Greek place and had what I can only describe as being a deconstructed kebab, only made with proper shredded, spiced and seasoned meat though - served with pittas, salad and various sauces. Seemed a bit weird washing it down with water. :?

Last time I had a deconstructed kebab I dropped it on the floor but still ate it. There was no washing down as its sole purpose was soakage.

Bob Crow.

I'm in that London next Tuesday and Wednesday and, lo and behold, they're having (another) strike. I don't care about the issues. Don't talk to me about the issues. Issues, smishoos. I'm going to have to walk, or worse still, catch buses.

Tosser.

Last strike before I moved I literally bumped into Crow near Bank station. Unfortunately I realised it was him after the opportunity to punch him had passed :(
