See that's what I should have done. Ran after work and fell very heavily on a tarmac downhill. Managed to balls up both hands, shoulder knee and rib as well as the sore turned ankle! None of which will stop me running but it fecking hurts when I breath deeply. Going doing spin class at 6.30 now I've soaked in the bath and plastered my hands up, not sure how long I'll last.
 Blimey. I admire your fortitude. After that, I'd have stayed in the bath!

I couldn't jog 200m from front door to Leisure Centre, because of the impact, but with the bike being smoother it was uncomfortable but manageable. I'm such an idiot, only just got running again. Have a pre-booked physio check-up tomorrow, he's going to have more to do than he bargained for!
Hoping I'll be OK for the 5k on the 16th, you doing it Harry?

Hmmm, I'm skeptical! Anyway, sounds like you deserve a jam doughnut more then me. I'll post one up to you!

Two hard sessions this week.

Tuesday 2.5 mile warm up to a local park then:

2 x 800m sprints with 2 minutes standing recovery
4 x 400m sprints with 1 minute standing recovery
5 x 200m sprints with 45 seconds standing recovery

On the way back to the club we stopped at the bottom of a hill which is about 1 mile long. We ran up for 30 seconds then turned and walked back for 30 seconds. This was repeated until we got to the top then jog back to the clubhouse.

Approx 7.5 miles all told.

Last night was an 8 mile hilly run with the intention of averaging 7:00 to 7:15 pace.

Fail. Only managed 7:38 but couldn't have pushed harder. On a flatter course perhaps but not this one.

No running this weekend. Well, not much.

Jplly decent of you. I had a fried egg and bacon barm, which squirts when you bite into it so is perhaps the savoury equivalent.

Let me rephrase. You shouldn't eat unsolicited, recently discovered, bacon double cheeseburgers.

He's never really broached the subject. It's all art and law with him.

I reckon I'd give that a whirl myself, but not convinced the sweet/savoury thing will work out with a cheese burger
