Not Mrs Bob's parents have very kindly booked the whole family into a 4 star, half board hotel in the Tyrol in August. Damn decent of them and don't mind if I do.

If you say 'a1' in French it sounds a lot like the 'uh-uh' noise you can use to mean 'no'.

I should probably put that in Spotty's fact thread.

This reminds me of the time Crazy Horse joined the Olympique de Marseille message board and addressed the denizens in their own tongue. Desiring to know the local chippy situation, he informed them he was a vagabond ventilator from a small tyre iron. At this point, their hovercraft being full of eels and presumably sinking, they begged us to send all future communications in English.

Ah, those were the days....

I've got 6 nights in Majorca where a good mate is getting married but for 5 of those nights it'll be just our own break really.

Soon after I am going to Sonar festival in Barcelona for 5 days, though I think the festival itself is 3.

Depending on finances possibly some sort of follow-up to Colombia in central/south America.

Sorry, Matey. Hadn't seen this. I haven't but my younger brother's been there with his tribe a few times and speaks highly of it, as do a couple of people at work that have been. Is it really nice?

In other news I've just booked the New York flights. What started off as a long weekend is actually going to be Saturday to Saturday. Managed to get flights for £480 but have to change at Washington on the way out (Direct Newark to Mcr on the return). Matey's apartment is either in the East Village or the West Village (He told me but I've forgotten already  )

Just seen an organised tour to Iran and really fancy it. I'm not sure Not Mrs (But you never know) Bob will share my enthusiasm for it, but hey, a bit of Me time wouldn't go amiss.

I aspire to a city break and a beach-n-books holiday a year...

So... Istanbul in March... Booked... and imminent...

Portugal in May... booked today...

I really should put this on the Happy thread...

You'll miss the Play-Off final Billly !!

I have just booked 4 days in Lisbon for April. It's 27 years since last there when it still bore the scars of the Junta years. Despite what they've been through I'm guessing it's moved on somewhat.
