At the same time Russia has continued its nuclear buildup, the U.S. has virtually destroyed its arsenal of tactical nuclear warheads. Under orders from the Bush administration, the U.S. has also been moving to further reduce the U.S. strategic arsenal. Currently, the nation's most modern fleet of ICBM, the MX missiles, are being destroyed.

Bizzare (not doubting you) there's no reference to it I can see, and I'm struggling to find the executive power that would allow for it.

I suspect the legality on either side probably isn't going to be tested anywhere soon.

I reckon it already has settled down for the most part. There will no doubt be a lot of whinging from Kiev, but not anything that will alter history, unless of course the tanks do roll and Donetsk, Kharkiv and Odesssa are in Putin's sights - that I fear will lead to war.

You're near the sea aren't you? Just boil some seawater and distil the steam on a sheet of glass. (If you say you've only got 2-7 days worth of fuel to boil water with and you've nowhere to store more, well then, you're buggered).

It may seem that way when it is 40-50 Celsius outside but that is only halfway to boiling at sea level. Mind you it would evaporate fast which might leave you with no water.

I've 2 big gas cylinders for the cooker, so I'm alright there for about 8 months. As for the sea, I'm about 25 minutes away, as I live a fair bit inland. Anyway, too bloody hot to go dipping buckets in the sea
