Re: Today I'm angry about.....
Sounds like part of a script from a 1950 Amos and Andy show.Bijou Bob wrote:I've been looking for a maths tutor for my son, so far without success. However yesterday I had contact from a site for tutors saying that someone had left me a message re tutoring.
The message read:
"Hi, is you still looking for tutor for son. I have physics, chemistry and maths tutoring. Exam is coming soon and need to hurry. I am vailable at the moment, my rate £25 pe hour."
I'm not particularly angry, I just despair.

Yes I am as it goes, but what age is Bijou's son? I will charge £20 an hour for 7 hours tutoring a week. Where do I apply?Abdoulaye's Twin wrote:Hang on. Isn't Dan looking for work in the Bolton area? Isn't Dan a maths type? Hmmmmm

Arrrrrrrrgh... Being driven out of my local, not by e-ciggers but Evangelists...
"What is it like on the road to Emaus?", "Who is the third person who walks beside you?"
What? F*ck off, please. I'm enjoying my pint. Was enjoying.
Home calls. Me and the dog, third persons can stay in the pub or feck off back to Emaus.

I haven't much idea what that really means Dan? I'm not really championing any culture. If anything, almost everything we do is our own fault one way or another.bwfcdan94 wrote:So you are championing the, it's not my fault culture. Strange from someone of your generation Tango

The Sun. Despite my constant moaning about it, the wife likes the crosswords and it's cheap, so we get it. Football coverage is pretty decent too.
Three times in the last six days the whole of the front page has been devoted to Katie fxcking Price and her husband, once with the banner "Exclusive". Inside, two days have had full two-page spreads about her husband playing away (must be two million at it today alone) and how heart-broken she is being betrayed by her best mate. One of the three days devoted four full inside pages to this drivel including large pics of her in a white wedding dress (that's a fxcking joke in itself for a start). When will this shxt end? ....Okay, that's it. Rant over, and yes, I don't need to buy it. It's still a tripe rag though and more fool me....

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
Exactly. Had it promised a feature of summat you wanted to read about only to find two square inches on page 19 in and amongst a Katie Price fest then fair do's. However, Katie Price on the cover? What's likely to be inside?TANGODANCER wrote:Okay, challenge away....I've already admitted my culpabillity in buying it.Bruce Rioja wrote:^^^ I'm afraid I need to challenge your right to rant on that one.
I think the right to rant is not something to be trivialised in such a way, and you, Sir, I feel, are running the risk of abusing that hard fought for privilege.

Perhaps he's ranting about the fact his wife makes him buy it and he dare not say no...Bruce Rioja wrote:Exactly. Quadruple f*ck. Somebody, in my presence, has just used the phrase "a panacea for everything" and failed to understand my rage.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
