Nonetheless, should be worth a watch.

Re: Today I'm happy about......
Right let's have another go and actually paste it in the right thread this time:
Today I am happy because my first interview at this business in Crowthorne went very well, infact they invited me to a second interview with the owner of the business. The second interview took place on Friday and it went so well that at the end of it I was offered the job! While it does mean sadly I won't be able to move beautiful Bolton in the near future, I do at least have a job and will be able to go and watch the super Whites as much as I want next season! which lets be honest is what really matters to me. I am now officially an accountant. I have also passed another exam last week. Perseverance and hard work pays and I admit that Dujon was right that given I applied for 1 job down here and 300 in the north west and got the 1 that I applied for down here that it was sound advice by him to tell me to apply for ones down south as well as in the north west. I would like to thank those of you that helped me(and you know who you are) for giving me advice both on applications and c.v's.

Well done .... now buckle down to what matters and, much as Bolton is a fine hobby and interest, at this stage that's work, qualifications and settling down a bit.

Well done Dan. Patience and hard work usually pay off in the end even if it takes time. Keep the same attitude on the job and you'll do fine. Good stuff.

Re: Today I'm happy about......
Congratulations, Dan. I'm assuming that the new job is contingent on you passing your next few examinations? Whatever, if it all comes to fruition you now have a ladder in front of you and your foot is hovering over the first rung. As others have mentioned this is when the 'heavy lifting' starts. A small word of advice, Dan, if I may?
Don't become disillusioned or disappointed if you don't get a pat on the back every time you do a good job. You will be expected to do a good job as that is what you will be paid for.
Anyway, young man, I'm pleased as punch for you.

You now have your first job and your first pay packet will be soon. Focus on women, ale and football. You usually only get one chance in life to live a carefree existence and you should grasp it with both hands before responsibility catches up with you........
