Well then I passed , I would point out that I had applied for over 300 jobs before being called to interview, the fact I got the first job I was interviewed for was partly down to the fact that I was 1 of 2 candidates, although as my friend said at least that means I was better than the other candidate(or maybe I just asked for a much lower salary).

I think that he is fairly happy and content with his life, beyond the fact that at his age (and mine) the body doesn't work quite so well, the memory is questionable, etc. etc.
