Nero fiddles while Gordon Burns.

It is. My housemate always accuses me of having seen when I get one he doesn't know. The categories are very repetitive though, would be my only criticism.TANGODANCER wrote: Hey, if you haven't seen them before what difference. Pointless is a good show.

Watched "Mesrine:Killer Instinct (pt1)" last night that I recorded from BBC2 on Saturday night. French Film with English Subtitles about Jacques Mesrine, a french soldier in the Algerian army who comes back to France and falls into the gangster underworld and becomes Interpol Public enemy No.1. its a true story and I think the concluding part was on late last night. Its a real decent film , with tonnes of action and even though its in French it doesn't annoy. Would recommend it.

He's a proper "Bloke" in it. Think Vincent Cassell is excellent in playing the role.General Mannerheim wrote:one of my absolute all time favourites. Part 2 is genius. my daughter Sofia was named after the character in this, well i got the idea from it like....

Vinnie at his best!

Couldn't agree more. Caught up with this today watching all four episodes so far. Really good TV and a great cast. Catch it all on iPlayer.General Mannerheim wrote:cor, Happy Valley was belting again. best thing to come off of these shores since Red Riding.

This evening settled down to watch Life of a Mountain Scafell Pike, a 2hr film by Terry Abraham on the people and the mountain. Magnificent! Niche documentary viewing maybe, and its not often that a film can bring tears of joy to my eyes but this one managed it. If you have any love of The Lakes this is required viewing.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

It were really good. But the memory plays tricks though-I've no recollection that the bombing was on the morning of the Scotland/England game; they feel like they were years apart.

Same here. I recall both equally but it's odd that only hours after the bomb I was watching that game and don't remember the proximity.CrazyHorse wrote:But the memory plays tricks though-I've no recollection that the bombing was on the morning of the Scotland/England game; they feel like they were years apart.
