The most evident thing about any bloke that tries to disguise grey hair and baldness is the fact that they're trying to cover them up.

In the village pub where one of my mates lives, this bloke goes in whose wig couldn't be more obvious if it had a fecking chinstrap.

What goes on in these people's heads? :conf:
It has never bothered me - which is just as well! (but you did write today in another thread that finding grey hairs had made your bad week worse!)
When I realised it was going ..... in my late 20's it was obvious it was going to go and by mid 30's it was on its way ... yes, it bothered me. But it was just one of those things. Nowt could be done & I wasn't going to do a comb over & a wig was ridiculous. Besides, your hardly on your own.

That said, if tomorrow someone developed a once-a-day pill and a full head would regrow then yes, I'd take it. Meanwhile, back in the real World, yeah ... suck it up. Grey .... so what ?

Not just you Bruce. I noticed I was receding at 17 but it has probably only gone back an inch or so since. My father was bald in his late 20's so I am probably pretty lucky.

Going pretty grey at the temples now but would never consider dying it. I keep it short'ish (No. 3 with my clippers) as trying to hide the receding bit would look silly.

My views are the same as Bobo. If there was a cheap and easy way to return to a thick head of hair I would, otherwise I will live with what I have.

Even if an anti baldness pill becsome available, I'm really not sure I'd want it. I'm comfortable with my shaved head.

vanity... all is vanity... it's what makes us different from women - not bothering about greyness or baldness... or getting older... or putting on a few pounds.. or getting some wrinkles or a bit of a tyre...

Greyness doesn't bother me. My hair is thinning quite a lot these days which is annoying. Although most people would say I have a full head of hair, I live under a hotter and more visible sun that Lancashire and it detects thinness. This means I have to start wearing hats and I have never liked hats.

My geneticist friends tell me that you get "hair" genes from your mother's father - so initially it is his hair that determines you more than dad. However, Androgenic alopecia, which affects three quarters of men to some degree, also stems from environmental factors. Personally I blame Windscale.

Interesting that, Monty. Mum's Dad had a receded hairline and although his crop on top thinned with age he was never what you would call bald. My older brother and I are are following him similarly, however, our younger brother has the classic horseshoe so just shaves the lot off. Has that anything to do with him being a proper copper-topped ginger?

Started losing mine in my early 30s, no bother just started cutting it really short. The mrs frowns though at any suggestion of me doing a proper head shave, so just clippers without the guard every few weeks works well. I had curly hair so no interest from me in any restorer!

As GtE's photos on the other thread demonstrates, grey hair can look pretty smart with a braces combination  . Wont be long, i suspect, before the little I have left goes grey. Meh

Good point Bijou, while I am not at the stage of shaving it yet, I do get a grade 2.
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.

Hard to say. My first wife was ginger and I've come to the conclusion they can be unpredictable....

Y'see this is the sad thing. Loads of people lose it yet others chose to shave theirs off. There has to be a solution somewhere.

You could go for some knitting, like a certain DMB, or ex-England Captain Graham Gooch...

I stood by someone on the Tube once who had recently had this done. It looked fckg painful.

i've had lots of scalp showing for some time now... the dog is used to it - she has got lazy! nowadays she is liable to follow any baldy guy wearing jeans off down a path!

she did it today - and as i retrieved her, i said the the bloke she was following "sorry about that - she follows any baldy bloke in jeans nowadays"

he looked slightly offended - but his gf/missus sniggered!

I think the potions stop the rot. I don't think they restore your hair to pre-baldness.
