Childish ? Yep, but made me smile.

Maybe 'Derek & Clive, Live' next.

Thanks, Monty and our Jolly Roger friend. I hadn't realised that there were so many different biplanes used in WWII.

Spent a happy half hour in the sunny garden today after work reading stories to the twins as they munched on ice lollies. It's the simple things in life!

Tonight, I'm happy that this hero made it to Normandy to be with, and remember, those who fought alongside him.

Indeed. There's also a story out there about a fella who parachuted into Normandy earlier - seventy years since the last time he did it!

On a similar theme, the coverage of today's memorial service has been fantastic.

never underestimate the sheer restorative joy that can be had by burning stuff - and sitting to watch with a glass of red wine, getting up every now and again to poke it and pile more stuff on! 8)

↑↑↑ oh yes. Barbecuing on a diet.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Ambleside tea shoppe. Cumbrian's pride themselves on being blunder and more direct that even Yorkshire folk.

So maybe I shouldn't have been surprised when the waitress arrived at the table behind me with a diet coke and a milk shake. She took a look at the slim 60 odd year old and the more full figured on and said to the slim one "diet coke .... I guess that'll be for you then !"

Right, having baulked at the price last time I'm determined to go this. £33.50 at the Roundhouse it looks like, which is about £15 cheaper than the last tour too! Need to find someone to go with though given 'er indoors is going to be off gap yah travelling :hang:.

The Roundhouse looks like an absolutely perfect venue for them. You're in for a proper treat.

Our local exiled Scouser (well he's from Port Sunlight which is close enough) and our resident Glaswegian (is there anywhere that hasn't got one) have just had a bust up outside the pub... It was hilarious, plenty of ethnic shouting (I don't know which accent's worse and which most comical) followed by about four telegraphed punches none of which landed followed by the Glaswegian falling over and cracking his head on a table. Ambulance and coppers now in attendance. [ half past four in the fecking afternoon!].
That's not a leopard!
