Of which job, lets be honest here, he's not exactly covered himself in glory in the past 2 years.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Yeah ... but that's fixed now he's got rid of MearsLord Kangana wrote:Of which job, lets be honest here, he's not exactly covered himself in glory in the past 2 years.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

This season will be ace.
Defo no more problems now it's Duggie's team. We will out tactic everyone in the div with individual plans tailored for the opposition home and away.

No it's not. It's the managers job to make the most of the players he has.BWFC_Insane wrote:When he is given some sort of money to actually buy a striker who might make a difference.CrazyHorse wrote:Really?
And how many more chances should Freedman have to get the right quality up front?
Until then the manager is irrelevant.
Besides, when we used N'Gog, Sordell and Davies in Freedman's first season, we had plenty of success yet none of them were given chances last year. They all performed and yet all three have or are being pushed out of the door. We then spent around £1m on Beckford who we chased all last summer...only for Freedman to decide he doesn't want him either.

^ is this a thinly-veiled appeal to get Ngog and Sordell back?
and - Davies? do you mean Kevin???

We should resign Elmander and play him in midfield

Obviously that's the managers job. But you can only make the most of what you have and it's limits. Beckford and Craig Davies won't fire us to promotion. I don't care who is maximising them, that won't change it!SmokinFrazier wrote:No it's not. Anyhow you know as well as I do that we aren't troubling the top 6 with those two irrespective of who is in charge!

We, he chased him for 4 months. He expressed his delight when he did eventuallysign. That wwould suggest he was his dream target ... at the time.BWFC_Insane wrote:Who said he was his dream target?bobo the clown wrote:↑↑↑ Your Dougie love-in can't hide the fact that Beckford was his dream target .... until he actually got him.

aye - and BWFCi has said (several times) that Beckford was a mistake that Dougie made...

or - it might simply add up to Beckford being the best Dougie could afford... at the time - and he genuinely hoped he'd come good - and turned out to be wrong...
I don't really see that any of that adds up to "dream target"... (especially the emboldened section - I mean - come on!! what do you expect a manager to say when he has just signed someone!!)
you're so black and white and hyperbolic nowadays - I think you're turning into BWFCi-lite!

Don't give a f*ck who plays up front as long as they score goals and win games. I wish we looked convincingly and consistently like we'd do that. If he stopped titting about, theres enough ability in that squad to get us up. Beckford included.

Baptiste to Blackburn is a possibility according to Nixon. Where are my car keys?

It isn't quantity that we are short of it is quality that is the bigger issue!

Re: Abdoulaye's going t'Souk transfer thread
What a mystery he's been. Essentially a centre back at Blackpool he clearly preferred to be a full back and it looked like that was part of his contract as he never once played there.malcd1 wrote:Baptiste to Blackburn is a possibility according to Nixon. Where are my car keys?
Somehow, not helped by having to switch sides, he never convinced at either fullback role. Difficult to say why. DF maintained faith with him until that late run of silly tackles & fouls and seemingly a penalty a game. I still rate his potential but it looks like DF has to return to a one-in/one out pattern. Big wages also if I recall the talk 12 months ago.

And offloaded, loaned out how many? Not mentioning Chungy and now Baptiste plus any others Dougie may sell off.BWFC_Insane wrote:We've signed what, 6 so far?TANGODANCER wrote:Will we have anybody left when the season starts?malcd1 wrote:Baptiste to Blackburn is a possibility according to Nixon. Can then shut down the football club and sell the Macron for luxury flats.
Let's face it, football died as any sort of worthwhile spectator sport when they invented the premier league.
Us pretending to be interested these days is just providing the electricity that keeps the corpse twitching.
