If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

Which to me is just playing the same game but in reverse.

I fully accept the point, but labelling those people as 'twee upper middle class wankers' doesn't help the point. Plenty of people like tennis but only really follow Wimbledon. Some of those people are probably not middle class. I'd suggest many aren't.
Of course some of them aren't. I'd suggest you don't take stuff on this thread too seriously. Compare my post on here with others I make and it should become obvious that I have overstated my irritation with certain Wimbledon cliches for angry rant effect.
As for reverse snobbery and the band analogy, that's just bollocks and a complete misrepresentation of what I was saying.
I mean, some of my best friends are twee middle class wankers, so it logically can't be reverse snobbery.

Where to start :(

1. Just been out to put the rubbish out. It's still excruciatingly hot and I now have sweaty bollocks
2. Mrs AT has Sense & Sensibility on the telly box
3. Got to go out tomorrow in the midday sun. It's eyeball meltingly hot and because it's Ramadan I can't do the sensible thing and take a drink to rehydrate
4. 2nd visit to the vets in a month today for one of the cats. 120 quid, got to go back tomorrow and hand over some more for some medicine. Back again in another month to re-run the tests and no doubt more medicine
5. Angry at myself for not telling the recruitment specialist to do one. Got a call tomorrow with her and I'm not in the mood
6. Did I mention it's fecking hot?

My son was in Bali on holiday during Nyepi. They were locked in their hotel for 24 hours.

Not just Muslims either... try holidaying on a Wee Free stronghold like Raasay and attempt to go hiking on a Sunday (or buy stuff, or catch a ferry to escape the island, or smile). If you're alive by Monday you've got SAS style skillz, and I guarantee you won't be back the next time a weekend rolls round... :hang:

:D , Pru is clever enough to set such trap but I think he is guilty of ignorance as much as I am.

I see the gun madness in good ole USofA got even stupider today. Georgia is now allowing the nutters to carry guns in non-secured government buildings, such as libraries or nurseries. Even better, you get to take your gun for a beer or 10. No way that could end badly

When even Piers Morgan is right on an issue you know those wrong must be properly nuts.

It's one where my sig seems to apply. If the gun mortality stats can't convince them that guns are in fact dangerous, not protective, then there's no point trying. It's an issue beyond reason.

I know I shouldn't bother, but it makes me mad that innocent folk die in their thousands due to this lunacy.

Guns don't kill people, people kill people.
That's such a twee statement. It's meaningless.

Let's all have the right to bear nuclear arms. Nuclear weapons don't kill people. People detonating nuclear weapons kill people.

Of course guns kill people.

That statement should be. 'Guns aren't to blame for killing people. People are to blame for killing people'.

And then the next statement should be, 'Don't give guns to people'.
