Boycott on the crowd."I know it rained this morning, but this is a poor crowd. Crowds are down this year. It was all right at Lord's and it will be at The Oval, but London has a big catchment area."
Might be worth pointing out to Geoffrey that Manchester is a large catchment area too.
But it is August. Middle of School holidays so lots of people are away.
It is a Thursday so those not away are at work.
The weather isn't great.
And the tickets are hardly cheap. £45 the cheapest. £58 and £68 the rest. It is the North, we're not all feeling the porsperity the South East bankers are.

152 all out. Not a bad few hours for England all round there.....
Now time to turn the screw and bat them out the game!

Re: creeeeeeeekeeeeeet
England dismissed six Indian batsmen for ducks - the joint-most in Test history. It has happened three times before - Pakistan against West Indies at Karachi in 1980, South Africa versus India at Ahmedabad in 1996 and Bangladesh against West Indies in 2002.

Balance goes and we're 113 for three. Not the end of the world. I'm off to watch the highlight on Channel 5.

113-3 in reply. Bet it was a great day for those watching live. Anybody spot Peter Reid amongst the spectators?

Re: creeeeeeeekeeeeeet
I was thinking today after Ballence's decent knock is there any possibility of Trott ever reclaiming his place?
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.
