Given how crap we appear to be at the moment, this visitor is quite restrained.
I still think an early exit will happen.

how good are Bury? Genuinely haven't seen them play. If they are anywhere near organised they will, sadly, beat us

Re: Carling Cup 1st round draw: Bury at home
Got beat at home yesterday.
Ok what team should he go? I'd pick:
Bogdan (get him fit)
Threlkeld
Ream
Wheater
Dervite
Spearing
Danns
Feeney
Hall
Beckford
Craig davies
On the basis that yesterdays defence needs its arse kicking, 442 at home to bury is a must, and craig davies and beckford need game time and hopefully a goal or two.

I think with forest next up and Duggie's renowned squad rotation he will be resting the players he intends to play.
I wonder what players that bury have that he can get paranoid about?

He'll pick Moxey again, unless injured or suffering a nervous breakdown. He has to. Otherwiseewe may as well pay him off. A match in front of a small, subdued crowd against a pub team is an opportunity to restart.
If we lose to that shower .... & then to Forest there'll be a clamour against Freeman of Megsonesque proportions.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Exactly what we were saying - near identical debuts. It comes to something when your new Left Back goes down injured and there's a feeling of 'he's going off - thank feck for that'.twilight wrote:moxey played as bad as i remember gerald cid to be!

The BWFC website shows that 90% of the stadium has no seats available for this game.
So we've either got a full house or they've only sold about 1000 tickets and can't be arsed opening most of the ground.

Ain't that sweat. Are the Bury forums so empty that you have decided to come on here. This is your cup final, we couldn't care less about you, I do think you will win which of course will be the biggest thing you have done since you last beat us.VICIOUS wrote:Hope you guys enjoy your cup final on tuesday. We promise to go easy on our minnow neighbours.

I noticed that, first spotted about two weeks ago and was waiting for it to correct itself. Doesn't seem to have?? What happens if you try to book a ticket for one of the "closed" zones online or via the office?CrazyHorse wrote:The BWFC website shows that 90% of the stadium has no seats available for this game.

I'll pay on the night!
Bury have now stopped selling thier in-advance tickets and are telling fans to pay on the night. Confusing; have they sold their allocation in full and are Bolton are opening the top tier? If so, to get the best view of the pitch you have to be an away fan?
Would be nice if someone could explain what's going on - but that's probably too much for the paying punter to ask for.

See, that's the trouble. Teams play us, up for it and expecting to beat us. All our talk is about sorting defence out and not being scored against. What have we got to lose by going at teams? We started the game yesterday with a forty yard back-pass. By the time we retaliated we were two, then three down.bwfcdan94 wrote:Ain't that sweat. He really doesn't! Just a small area along Manchester Road, where you can drive on a match day and the only indication that there is a game going on, is the sign at the bottom of Gigg Lane displaying the next fixture. Seriously!bwfcdan94 wrote:BP lives there and he say's it's a sh*thole.William the White wrote:No one on earth actually wishes that. Redvales? Redvales is alright isn't it?! There's Radcliffe, though. I always have Radcliffe as being to Bury what Farnworth is to Bolton.Burnden Paddock wrote:He really doesn't! Ssh! Don't give Dan an excuse to label the whole town as a shithole. The Manny Road comment was a juvenile attempt at humour based on the bucket shakers location, which clearly went right over Dan's head and left him confused.Bruce Rioja wrote:Redvales?
