Really? That surprises me. I have an industrial/commercial vacuum cleaner (in that it's one of the ones that OCS use) at home and that's only got a 1300 w motor. Most domestic vacuums have a 700w motor as far as I know. Didn't they actually say/mean 'within' that catergory? :conf:

Will be reet. Read somewhere that all Dysons are well within it, and they've known for ages and have just made them better. Nothing like an incentive, and if it buys us an extra ten minutes before the planet melts then YAY!

Pretty sure I won't in any way notice it.

You will when you have a little one that likes rubbing playdoh into the feckin rug!

Well people who don't know what housework is won't!
And Dysons are crap, spoke to a bloke once on the market who refurbishs them and flogs that at half the price, he said and I quote,"Wouldn't have one of these in my house, they feck up too easy, constantly blocking filters and losing suction".

What's the point when I can pay a nice Polish lady to come round and do it for £20 :D. It's ace this EU.

Seriously though, I don't know about Dysons specifically but your second sentence nails it. Mum's got some swanky Hoover that's about 1200W at home that is ace, and down here we've got some shitty cheapo 2000W one that is f*cking useless.

Presumably they'll now have to stop making shit hoovers for 28p that they can only make work by routing half the grid through, and instead make good ones. Yay. Go EU. AND we get 10 minutes extra before the apocalypse.

Also, law makers deal in trivialities. We'd be f*cked if they listed things in order of importance and only moved on to the next thing once they'd fixed it. So, lads, Israel-Palestine again is it?

why is it that americans add the word "on" when hating something?

e.g.

"Why do people hate on Nickleback so much?"

stop it! at once!

Toilet blocks (which you put in the cistern to disinfect, help remove limescale and improve niffyness) manufactured under the name "Bloo" which aren't. Blue, that is.

I currently have a netty which looks like we've had a ribena party for hyperactive kids with a purple fetish. That block should NOT be called fecking "Bloo".

That's all. As you were.

mrs's birthday this week. went out today, 3 big card shops and an Asda. not one had a card that said 'to OUR mummy' they were all 'My mummy' or 'To a wonderful mummy' but from 'your little princess/monkey etc - nothing for siblings. pisses me off. no way im buying two. i couldn't find one from me either - i always like to give a cheeky or rude one rather than a soppy one, but i didn't see one that even cracked a smile. the greetings card industry has gone to absolute shit. i hate just buying and giving any old stuff for the sake of it, some pez cheapo card with some shit cute teddy bear on it that just says happy birthday, if im buying a card i want it to be of significance, so that the recipient knows you went to a bit of trouble, otherwise whats the point? and dont direct that blummin moonpig bollocks at me either.

^^ Loads of choice at Card Warehouse. Just buy open cards (loads of every type available, funnies etc)) and put your own words on. They're dirt cheap compared to W.H.Smiths etc.

So you want her to know you've been to a bit of trouble...........but don't actually want to go to any??

I've done the Funky Pigeon thing a few times and it's easy, takes less than five minutes and cheapish at less than 3 quid.
