It seems to me that the idea is that you do the challenge if nominated or else you have to donate money to charity. If that is the case, surely it's a bad thing that so many people have done it?Gooner Girl wrote:This ice bucket challenge - who's done it? (Apart from Lever End, a sight I can never un-see)
To be honest these internet crazes always annoy me a bit, don't normally like to jump on the band wagon, but I've been nominated twice now.
I guess its good if its raising money for worthy causes? What do people think?

Not done it and not about to. I found it quite funny at first and LEs was the first I saw to feature a mankini but this last couple of days I've just got a bit fed up with it clogging up the news feed. It could be going on for years yet too!Gooner Girl wrote:This ice bucket challenge - who's done it? (Apart from Lever End, a sight I can never un-see)

I'm sure he would let you borrow his mankini if you asked nicely Harry. You know you want to really!Harry Genshaw wrote:Not done it and not about to. Nicko, I think you donate either way but more if you wimp out?
I'm still undecided.

I'm thinking of starting the 'Just One Nut' challenge. You pop a bollock out, photograph it then stick the image up on the social media site of your choice.Gooner Girl wrote:To be honest these internet crazes always annoy me a bit, don't normally like to jump on the band wagon, but I've been nominated twice now.

I'm nominating LLS to start it all off.
The money raised will go towards Freedman's severance package.

Ahem. I've been offered exclusive use of the mankini for my nomination. I don't mind second hand, but third hand uggghhhh. That's just disgusting!Gooner Girl wrote:I'm sure he would let you borrow his mankini if you asked nicely Harry. You know you want to really!Harry Genshaw wrote:Not done it and not about to. If Pru had seen the vision of me in my mankini he would understand my narcissism!
I have a couple of mates who object to the whole thing but I'm not going to overthink it. It's an opportunity to have a laugh and raise some cash for a worthy cause. A good mate of mine lost his Mum to MND as well, and this craze has raised a shit load of money. If people disapprove and want to donate in different ways fair enough.

i wasnt aware of ALS or MND charities before the fad, but i have donated now so i guess its had the desired effect. I havent done the challenge tho and dont intend to. ive not watched any of the videos on my feed either, I just ignored the nominations when ive been tagged, and I didnt post a picture of my donation to show what a wonderful super charitable bastard i am either. i fkin hate that.

It is getting a bit tedious. However, I've just been nominated by and ex GF and Our Kid's been nominated by a colleague, so we're trying to think of something a bit different to do at weekend, and no, it won't be even remotely like LE's or his mate Penders's.Harry Genshaw wrote:Not done it and not about to. Just a quick line re Spotski. He's off work and isn't feeling too well right now and is taking a break away from it all, including the internet. Hopefully, he'll recover quickly and be back soon. I'm sure he has all our best wishes and gets back soon.
