What are you watching tonight?

Unfortunately they seem to be in loads of stuff together so to get lovely Jennifer you usually have to put up with that prick, or watch The Hunger Games which are a bit meh, though not awful.Bruce Rioja wrote:See, that's where I'm going wrong. F*cking loved it. Right up there with Dallas Buyers Club as the best of last years set, and I think my fav.
Not seen 12 Years yet though.
Watched American Hustle, with some no-mark broad in it, last night. She loved it. I thought it good but not great. I still want to smack Bradley Cooper everytime I see him.

I agree about Her. Excellent film, and Phoenix is outstanding. Need to watch Dallas BC, hearing good things on here and elsewhere.

Yes, you do. Only criticism I've heard is that it's too long, but I watched it in two sittings so didn't really notice. However, yes, I'd strongly suggest putting on your list.LeverEnd wrote:I agree about Her. Excellent film, and Phoenix is outstanding. Watched a bizarre film last night called "Escape from tomorrow". It's a black & white film (it's classed as a horror but it's not). It's all filmed in Disneyland and is about a bloke on hols with his family who has a sort of psychological breakdown. Very bizarre but not a bad watch.

Silver Linings tho, great film. She is in the brilliant Winters Bone too but she doesn't scrub up too well in that...

Watched Hunger Games once, but that's it. No desire to watch it again or its sequels. Made for me by the magnificent Stanley Tucci. He does over-the-top very well (brilliant with Richard Gere in Shall we Dance) and even played a decent assassin in The Pelican Brief. Comedy is his forte though.

Started watching the Sharpe series again from the beginning. Staggering to find it's twenty- one years since it was made.

Same here...I can't watch something starting at the second episode, doesn't feel right. Saw the film a few years ago so hoping it'll be as good.General Mannerheim wrote:This caught my attention but episode 1 is missing from the Sky On Demand thingy!? Re: What are you watching tonight?
Hadn't seen Ides of March so watched that. It took the theme that American politicians are a load of lying, cheating, self-serving dishonest chaps who think nothing of having the odd extramarital fling whilst out vote hunting. Shocking and scandalous, politicians wouldn't do things like that....

Just started Season 5 of Mad Men, I'm started to get annoyed by all the different child actors playing Bobby Draper.

This Sky Atlantic, btw, Kinty, General et al. Does it show anything other than Italian mafia dramas?

Well, as the name suggests, it mostly shows American shows. Mainly the HBO ones, plus some others such as Friday Night Lights, Seinfeld etc.Bruce Rioja wrote:How did she get on? High time I re-familiarised myself with it.Prufrock wrote:That Ides of March is shite.
