This is probably a long shot. Bro's birthday coming up and he wants me to get him a book on keeping ducks. No, really he does. He already has a few (ducks, not books). Does anyone by any chance know of the best available book I can buy him?

Well if you don't fancy the Mallard and you can't source a dusty copy of Drake's Progress, there's always this:

You must have been quackers to ask this on here. You are never going to live this down !! Eider you make a clean breast of it or you'll be off to the beak.

It appears it's going to be a day of faux pas in the office today. As it was my turn to be Brew Bitch, I wandered round the office taking orders, at which point the new guy in the office asked for tea. With two sweeteners. Perhaps I should have reflected on his love for Kylie and his hate of football before I splurted out "2 sweeteners??! You Fairy". I've just followed this up by telling another colleague, who had just poured a great cup of coffee from our cafetiere, that her plunging technique was second to none.

I may go home now.

You haven't realised yet that the new guy is gay, have you ??

Off for a re-education course soon for you me-thinks.

And it continues! I'm on a roll today. Sat in a tele conference I reached for a biscuit. A voice behind me said "A minute on the lips, a lifetime on the hips" to which I replied, noting my slim frame "Some of us can stand it". The shocked silence in the room told me it was our Huuuge director of public health without me even having to turn round. She initially took it in good part, although she's looking a tad miffed now.

I blame my medication.

No ... they really aren't. Though I am willing to discount when it's really funny.
