From that view, Bank Street has not changed one bit. The only difference is the large building at the very top left hand corner is no longer there. I would guess that there was a building on the open car park facing Bank Street Taxi's but that is just out of view.

I am on the verge of switching bank accounts - first time in quite a number of years...

it's driving me mad!! trying to get a sensible comparison of what's on offer when some offer interest pegged to the amount you have in the bank (eg - santander123) - some offer no interest at all but DO give a joining cash incentive (First Direct) - some charge a fee - but waive it as long as you have another of their products or pay in a certain amount per month - some offer a bewildering array of "cashback" options on bills paid through the account... some seem to have ace customer service, some score worse than Ed Milliband... some have secret club savings accounts with good interest - but only for those who have current accounts also... some charge you a fee if you don't pay in a certain amount every month... arrrghhhhhhh!!!!!

I think I have made my mind up now - but am hesitating before pressing the button - largely because I think I should probably withdraw a large wad of cash to tide me over should summat go wrong!

over here there is a new scheme that banks sign up for where it is all supposed to happen seamlessly and automatically in 7 working days... fingers crossed!
