However, i seem to have pinged the top of my quad. Just a sharp pain if i move it too much, so with kneeling, running etc. Annoying. Hopefully a bit of rest and a weekend on the ale in Devon will do the trick.
Often just as effective as a trip to the physio/chiropractor I find. Similar cost and far more enjoyable.

Aye that's the hope. Will be nothing more than watching rugby, drinking and putting the world to rights with an old pal.

It's not improving and probably a tad more painful actually with movement as i've had to compensate on the other leg, so i reckon it's a v small tear or something equally annoying. Ah well. Could be worse i guess.

First Physio session today (post-op)

The tracking of my patella is way off and I've lost an inch of muscle in the left quads.

Gonna be a long haul. :?

Ahh, I've sussed how to get into the gubbins of the Nike + site. My fastest mile as part of 5K stands at 9 mins 29 seconds. Thebish might care to retract his earlier post. Nae Roger Bannister, me!

I have to concentrate on building up the muscle on my inner quads which will pull the kneecap back to the centre.

Like I said, it's going to take a while.

You're right LE. Feeling positive in spite of it all. Also my Physio is part of the England U21's team so he should get me back strong.

I can cycle from today and can swim after Tuesday once the stitches come out. The running will come back in the new year so I still have 6 months to train for Ironman.

Okay. Next stage in the recovery. Stitches out and signed off by the surgeon. This means I can start swimming again. Except I have a bloody cold now.

Bizarrely I saw Gordon Strachan in the clinic waiting room.

Cheers, Bish. Though beyond the running, this week has been one of total abstinence and lean cuisine.

I may be a little slower, next week. ;)

That's an impressive improvement in 2 weeks Bruce. Well done. I think that's the brilliant thing about park run, you see your progress quite clearly and then strive to keep bettering it. Just think what you could achieve in a few more weeks! :oyea:
