There are some flats facing our offices so we're thinking of putting some faces up in the windows to stare at the residents. Any suggestions? I've nominated Fred Elliot for one.Hoboh wrote:"Excuse me a moment Sir", "Sarge we got a right one here, do I call the hospital"?Bruce Rioja wrote:Just started pissing my sides whilst reading this. A mate of mine who is back packing in Australia has called me.
He is having a great time, constant parties and loads of sex with other travellers.
He was on the line for a while, must have cost him a fortune.
Chuffed for him and a bit envious.

I didn't realise I'd been elevated to a strata of society that had connections with the political elite, the media and academia.

I never picked you as a roundhead, TANGO.
Oh, yes, I too am happy. I arrived on the BBC internet whatsit to find us one up. The next fifteen minutes (+6!) were spent in some sort of temporal non-existence.

Re: Today I'm happy about......
Remembered this morning that I hadn't sorted the slow puncture on the wife's car. Found a place open nearby with 1 bloke grafting hard on his own and 2 or 3 cars in front of me. After half an hour he gets to me, finds a screw in it and repairs it in less than 10 minutes. Then to my amazement he says "sorry to have kept you, that's on me" and wouldn't take any money off me. He's not to know that I'd happily have waited a couple of hours if I knew it was going to be free!!!

It is surprising to encounter the Christmas spirit in the commercial world, but more so he could fix a slow leak in ten minutes! He deserves your business!Harry Genshaw wrote:Remembered this morning that I hadn't sorted the slow puncture on the wife's car. Today I pass the landmark anniversary since I had my diagnosis. My odds of surviving now shoot up. Instead of just a one in five chance I now can 'relax' knowing I have a one in two chance of surviving the next five years.

Delighted to hear it Spotski. I'll raise a glass to you tonight. Hope you can get out and get some painting done when the weather improves, meanwhile, all the best for the new year.Lost Leopard Spot wrote:Today I pass the landmark anniversary since I had my diagnosis. I like the 'relax' in inverted commas, as if that is going to happen.
