Of course there's always a slant, if papers reported the same angle on everything there would be only one paper. And some of it does have a 'no country for old men' feel to it. But, you know, accusing the telegraph of deliberately underreporting the HSBC story and telling their own investigative reporters to delete records of it for ad money is, as a1 might say, :/Worthy4England wrote:In fairness, he cites the Telegraph of being a bunch of bastards regarding quite a few things. The only thing that surprises me, is that he believes politically motivated articles amount to "integrity" - in one sense they are, I suppose, they appeal to a readership that wants to read that particular political stance on a story (no different than the Guardian might do for a Labour story). There are very few publications that aren't motivated by something other than purely objective reporting...there's always a slant.KeyserSoze wrote:Telegraph political lead quits, citing Telegraph being a bunch of bastards re HSBC.

It does smell - and not of roses.
Re: Today I'm angry about.....
People who say that foreign aid should be left alone because it's only 0.7% of GDP!
It's only 12/13 fcuking billion pounds you morons that I'm sure the NHS would love!
Strange how 33% of aid given to Sierra Leone to fight Ebola is now being reported as 'unaccounted for', just like everything that gets shipped to these corrupt countries.

I think Peter Oborne's piece is wonderful.
(Fnar?)
Seriously though, a major hats off to a man who has lead from the front with his conscience. As a former Telegraph reader (from today) I won't be buying their paper again until some integrity returns. If ever.

You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.

Well I don't have you down for a MailmanLord Kangana wrote:Why, may I ask?

Anyways I find the guardian to have decent reporting and a lot less of the leftie bias it had at one time and just reading Tory propaganda all the time used to raise my blood pressure a tad

Try it

I've just been annoyed because some fecking dimwit that I know has posted up a picture of Lee Rigby's gravestone on FB. The picture itself was hosted by Britain First. What the feck has it to do with those knuckle-dragging racist bastards?

My mam and dad always share britain first photos. I've gone past the 'what the shit are you doing' stage and just kind of sigh.

Mine read the Mail, which'd be fair enough if they didn't allow it to form their opinions for them. I long to get to the stage at which I just kind of sigh.KeyserSoze wrote:My mam and dad always share britain first photos. Re: Today I'm angry about.....
I've been blocked by Britain First on Facebook and Twitter (in an exclusive club with Adrian Durham and Keith Chegwin), they posted a picture of Jesus in front of a Union Jack so I commented 'JESUS = GREATEST LIVING BRIT', when someone suggested he wasn't British I asked why he'd chosen to get his photo taken in front of the flag then?Bruce Rioja wrote:I've just been annoyed because some fecking dimwit that I know has posted up a picture of Lee Rigby's gravestone on FB. The family have explicitly said that they don't support Britain First and have asked them to stop mentioning him, but they claim he's a 'public figure' so they believe they are right in what they are doing.Prufrock wrote:They're awful though. Every bit as sensitive as you might expect then?Beefheart wrote:The family have explicitly said that they don't support Britain First and have asked them to stop mentioning him, but they claim he's a 'public figure' so they believe they are right in what they are doing.Prufrock wrote:They're awful though.
