What a cracking day's cricket. Ton apiece for Cooke and Stokes and still going strong.

If 429-6 is blowing it, blow on McDuff...

Every Kiwi player shook Cook's hand at the end of play. Men and gentlemen. Love that.

What a fantastic day's cricket from an English perspective.
If we can bat for a few hours tomorrow and set the Kiwis a target of 350 on a fifth day pitch with two sessions to play, then, who knows, we might come away with an early series lead.
That's quite a turnaround from where we were on Saturday morning.

A day five pitch? Check.
Overcast conditions? Check.
Anderson and Broad charging in and swinging the ball both ways? Check.
At this rate it could be all over by tea.

Aw sod it. Don't believe this jinx lark anyway. Williamson gone for 27 and McCullum gets his stumps splattered first ball. A--mazing.... This is top cricket.

Hush.
They have a tail. And we've shown to be not good at removing tails, recently.

If you offered me 3 "Innings and...." results against the Aussies right now, I think I could be persuaded...TANGODANCER wrote:Sod off. Who wants to win by a tankfull? Like winning 10-0 at football. For the life of me I cannot understand why the umpire referred that rather than make a decision either way.

At a stab I reckon he's got more wrong than he has correct.Nicko58 wrote:For the life of me I cannot understand why the umpire referred that rather than make a decision either way.
