i meant it in a more "jews are tight" stereotype rather than holocaust denier/free the british mandate of palistine type stuff.

lose a pound , find a penny. like the oxford united / darlington / rangers / michael knighton / etc takeover .

or "our" rumoured two rival thais co-ownership thing from the recent past that sounded bonkers.

similarly- thaksin shinawat is probably still "fit and proper" to own a football club despite being number 5 on Interpol's forbes's white collar wanted list.

i'm wary of it.
I'm glad you clarified that....

Be interesting to see how this develops.

The story is aimed at champions league clubs and there are legal challenges on going.

Handy for QPR too.

Shouldn't be - changing the law shouldn't affect the punishment of previous transgressions - but we all know they'll get away with a comparatively light fine, considering their figurehead is worth more than half a billion dollars.

as long as real madrid can spend £190 million a season on a couple of "galacticos" thats all that matters to them.

carnt have steaua bucarest winning the european cup again, but if penaldo needs 58 whores then thats got to be paid for.

Not sure this will impact us at all unless some of the talked about "new backing" rocks up. The statements in the Accounts suggest that ED is making sure we don't go under (currently) and at a minimum for the next 12 months (this isn't as scary as it sounds - the Accounts have said that for at least the last 10 years). The report does say they we need further funding in excess of what is currently available and there are a number of "management initiatives" that they are pursuing. It doesn't sound like there's a significant influx of cash waiting, if only FFP would go away.

what's to stop somebody buying millions of poundsworth of crap from the club shop ?

cant see how its legal to stop the arabs at city paying a billion pound for four season tickets or whatever, but its ok for a shit ton of japanese girls to buy any old crap with a united badge on.

FFP its a reverse Luxury Tax under the guise of a CBA .

Article is a bit old but certainly feeling a bit depressed at the fact we seem to be taking on more and more debt...

Guess the upcoming car boots will have a stall selling unwanted tat, Moxey, Spearing, Hall, Eaves..........

Oh, maybe Trotter.

If we sell enough pitches might be able to afford a Taylor.

So are people still going to bury their heads in the sand and act like we have nothing to worry about? As I predicted... the slow death of the club continues. Should have just gone into admin back when I came into this topic instead of having it drag on and on. Guessing people don't think if we get relegated it will make things worse?

Following this evening's announcement let me say this .... go & fck yourself you stirring piece if shite.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".
