Season 2015/16 - What does it hold in store?

Delighted to see he didn't invite Mr Trotter to get changed today, again, despite us redifining 'bare bones'.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Think we have to be worried for next season. Lennon, widely acknowledged as a much better manager than Freedman, ended up with a marginally better a record, over 35 games than Freedman had the season before over 46 (not really surprising with the squad we have), in terms of points accumulation. We had a lot of injuries, some of them, like Mavies are unfortunately annual events.

I think we looked good for a period, with Clayton, CYL etc. but it was somewhat flash in the pan in the final analysis. We got a decent striker in, in January (who ended up top scorer), but probably can't afford him, unless he wants to move north on a pay cut. Only 6 teams conceded more goals than us, and somehow we managed to vote 3 defenders into the player of the season berth. Beggars belief.

Unless Lennon can work some magic over the summer, I think we have a long hard season ahead next year.

Garry Parker's post match interview sums it up

As most have been saying the senior players are not good enough, he says it about 3 times

Sorry about the ads, I'm sure someone much more IT savvy than me can post a link without them.

^^^ So, the senior players aren't good enough I take it.

Looking in Norway, France & Spain .... for ones who are.

I'm guessing Danny & Feeney may be in their sights. Who else off yesterday's ... who are actually ours ?

At this precise moment in time, I am not very hopeful about next season. It's six years since we last finished a season in a higher position than the previous season and I don't see the current squad reversing that trend any time soon (mind you, I'm not sure I could tell you for definite who is / isn't ours in the squad!). No doubt Lennon will "strengthen" the team over the summer, but I find it hard to believe, given our lack of cash, that he'll turn up the two or three key players we need to progress up the league.

If we manage to field our players without unlucky injuries we may get a settled team and be okay. With Mark Davies, Zach Clough and Clayton back and a few decent signings we may well move on. (crosses everything crossable)

Have to watch for the promotees to the prem shedding some of their hard workers. Might be some who would be better than most of our present lot.

Edit to add... Arsene reckons it'll be years before Wilshere is back to his best and needs games to strengthen his ankles. Might be worth a punt to get him on loan 8)

Oh, I don't know, Bish. He did a good job for us once and he isn't presently injured, just warming seat somewhere. 8)

What is the likelihood of QPR on the Friday, Fulham Saturday and Brentford Sunday? I'd book a few days off for recovery after that.

Must be decentish odds on top-half/play-offs then?

That must be based on reading Izual_Rebirth's posts.
