Is anyone watching the finals day?

Lancashire have made a decent start here.

Decent finish too.

Anyone watching the T20 highlights? Morgan was hitting shots with his feet in mid-air!

He was quite good at hurling in his youth by all accounts. With him being able to play cricket shots like that, it's not hard to see why.

Ah, yes, that makes perfect sense. Excellent performances from him, Ali and Stokes today. I don't usually care much for T20 but that was a hell of a game.

Performances such as today's beg the question: why does Moeen Ali bat so low down the order in test cricket?

His talent seems a bit wasted when he more or less always has to bat with the tail.

Not really fussed about Twenty-20 but hugely enjoyed Watson getting out at 1:37 here:

Cos the rules on short pitched stuff protect him in T20

He gets peppered in the 5 day game and he's not the best at dealing with it

Ben Stokes dismissal. Really? Wonder if the wankers can find some way to stoop any lower, next go? Surprised at the umpires, to me he's following the line of the ball that looks like it's heading his direction. Slo Mo doesn't begin to cover the half of it.

Just noticed that Lancashire won promotion a couple of weeks ago. Almost unnoticed.

Apologies if it's been mentioned here previously.

This is quite a start. With the ball moving about as much as it is, it might have been a better idea to have stuck them in.

Aye, Morgan off injured and 56-4 isn't the most cheering news. :(

Bad situation re Morgan. That blow on the head from a Starc delivery has given him concussion. Hope he's okay and with no sub allowed we could really struggle now. 122-8 at time of posting. :(

138 ( for 9) = all out as Morgan won't figure.

We look to have made a good enough stab at trying to defend our modest total up to now. Another wicket soon after the interval and we have an outside chance of making a game of it.

so - day one of first test against Pakistan... tough going!

bad toss to lose - but malik dropped off a no-ball and Bell putting down 2 catches...

Pakistan 286-4: Malik 124*, Hafeez 98

another long day ahead tomorrow I fear!

Highlights our lack of a top class spinner, or any sort of test spin bowler at all.

Our seam attack also are highly dependent upon conditions.

No Glenn McGrath unrelenting accuracy or raw pace to speak of.

So our ability to bowl teams out is highly down to conditions all round.
