There has been some good news with the weather. The highest waterfall in England appeared for a brief moment in the Yorkshire Dales.

Yowzers. I've been up Malham Cove and there was no discernible sight of any waterfall. I did shit myself however when the path I was following led me to the cliff edge!malcd1 wrote:There has been some good news with the weather. Now then. Carlisle. I visited Carlisle when it last flooded in 2005. How the feck has the same thing happened in exactly the same spot 10 years on?

Because despite a lot of money having been spent on flood defences it wasn't enough for this national record rainfall, ie an awful lot more than the last time it flooded.Bruce Rioja wrote: Now then. Couldn't happen again though. This one will definitely be once-in-a-lifetime. Unless...

Well I reckon Bolton Hospice can go fxck itself for my £5ver, and we've still got three full months to go. You're just a bit of a moron really aren't ya?Hoboh wrote:Bolton Hospice please.Lost Leopard Spot wrote:Been a bit warm today. Not surprising as the 'scientific community' are about to announce a record breaking record ( not just any record ).
But, more pertinently, I predict (with major egg on face potential here) that by March 2016 you'll be asking yourself WTF? after being battered relentlessly by winds, rain and snow. If it don't happen I will donate £5 to a charity of Hoboh's choice...
(Although I reckon you'd lose if we had ten feet of snow and lord knows how many millimetres of rain along with oak tree demolishing winds, they'd put that down to the effects of climate change, they are playing all sides of the argument)

Just walked to and from a distant pub (3 miles away), in a T-shirt. Not because I'm a Geordie or fat Frank, but because it's 14 degrees Centigrade. It's December 16th. It's Not Right.
